Thank you so much for posting this article. As a trainer in Florida I have not encountered many deaf dogs as of yet. I certainly have had a couple and they presented different challenges in the training. Reading about the cues was very helpful and hopefully I can apply it with future clients. I loved your clip with the deaf dalmation. I’m about to adopt a deaf 9 week old. Had a 14 yr. old deaf cattle dog for 8 yrs. so I’m somewhat familiar. Hand signals etc. were great until she went blind as well. Loved her though. I’m in Michigan. Anyone you know here who could help me with this puppy training? I’m excited and want to learn. Realize her safety is my responsibility. Thanks
