You're very welcome Cindy. Thanks for coming by my blog. I've got another video of a deaf bulldog during his first training session. Check it out and watch for the body language cues. Otis was a really great candidate for training. http://sitmeanssit.com/ashton/5/deaf-dog-training.

Thank you so much for posting this article. As a trainer in Florida I have not encountered many deaf dogs as of yet. I certainly have had a couple and they presented different challenges in the training. Reading about the cues was very helpful and hopefully I can apply it with future clients. Thanks for the article.

Our dog's entire well being, health, happiness, and life span are all entirely dependent on how you take care of them and train them. Even the tricks and special kills that they learn depend on how determined we are to teach them. But we must always keep in mind, before everything else, that they should be kept healthy at all times. Therefore, you need to train them right and feed them with a complete mixture of vitamins, supplements and a good dog food. That is why, it is always safe to use trusted high-end dog food brands because these products are scientifically approved meaning they possess little or no preservatives that might endanger your dogs.

Absolutely. Our puppy programs can help dramatically with getting your dog off to the right start. If your dog is older, then we have some great systems in place to get you and your dog living in harmony again. We can arrange for a evaluation appointment with our training staff with you and your dog. You can contact our office at (702) 877-4581 or by emailing receptionist@sitmeanssit.com.

If you live elsewhere in the US, you can find the Sit Means Sit trainer closest to you by checking our 'Locations' page: http://sitmeanssit.com/dog-training-locations/

I loved your clip with the deaf dalmation. I'm about to adopt a deaf 9 week old. Had a 14 yr. old deaf cattle dog for 8 yrs. so I'm somewhat familiar. Hand signals etc. were great until she went blind as well. Loved her though. I'm in Michigan. Anyone you know here who could help me with this puppy training? I'm excited and want to learn. Realize her safety is my responsibility. Thanks
