Recommendation Letter regarding Ashley Starling of Canine Tutors
January 25, 2007
To Whom It May Concern,
We write this letter with a high recommendation for Ashley Starling of Sit Means Sit. Ashley has been tutoring our dog, Sammy, with great success. Ashley is punctual for all tutoring schedules; he appears to have a firm understanding in his chosen career of tutoring dogs, and takes his role as a trainer seriously.
We personally, love Ashley’s philosophy of setting the dog up for success not failure. His techniques are congruent with his philosophy, as results are successful and based on condition/reward for our dog and NOT techniques of intimidation or aggression.
Upon first meeting with our dog, Ashley appeared very comfortable and adept at knowing how to build a trainer/student rapport with our dog, as our dog took to Ashley very quickly. This immediately allowed an environment for learning with Sammy, since rapport and trust had been established between the two.
We are new dog owners, aside from the fact that we wanted our dog trained. Here too, beyond our expectations of Ashley, he has helped us understand what collars are best for our dog, a dog’s primal behavior to explain why our dog shows certain behavior, and simply how to co-exist with our dog. This has helped us greatly incorporate Sammy into our lives.
We highly recommend Ashley to anyone serious about training their dog. Should you have any further questions, please feel free to call us.
Sincerely,
Terry and Tanya G.
