Atlanta Humane Society’s 2008 Pet Parade & Sit Means Sit Atlanta Dog Training
Once again, Sit Means Sit has been invited to provide dog training demonstrations at the Atlanta Humane Society’s annual Pet Parade. We are very excited to offer our Atlanta Dog Training Demonstrations in an effort to raise the necessary funds for AHS. We encourage all of our clients to come out and support the event.

WHAT: 18th Annual Pet Parade – A Walk for Animals
On Saturday, April 12, 2008 Darin Shepherd, Chris Laseter, Vanessa Giddens, Elizabeth Cohen, and Alex Tutterow of Sit Means Sit, animal lovers and their pets will join together as thousands of paws walk for a cause. Pet Parade is the premier walk-a-thon for animals in the Atlanta area in terms of public awareness, participation and revenues.
*In 2007 this event raised more than $100,000
*2008 goals include recruiting over 1,000 fundraising participants and generating over $200,000 to support AHS programs & services
WHEN: Saturday, April 12, 2008
Registration: 9:00 a.m. ~ Walk Start: 10:30 a.m.
Festivities continue until 1:00pm
WHERE: Candler Park - 585 Candler Park Drive, Atlanta, GA 30307
Pet Parade participants follow a mile-long scenic route through Candler Park and enjoy all the special offerings of our pet festival, including an array of vendors, games, contests and Atlanta Dog Training Demonstrations by Sit Means Sit.
HOW: Collect donations from family, friends, neighbors and co-workers. Walkers are required to register and are encouraged to pre-register by mail, on-line or in person at AHS prior to the event. The registration fee is $25 per person, but participants are encouraged to collect donations to support the animals. The registration fee includes a goody bag with fun Pet Parade giveaways!

WHY: All proceeds from the 2008 Pet Parade benefit the Atlanta Humane Society’s homeless animals.

*Atlanta Humane Society has no time limits on adoptable animals
*AHS adopted 36,000 animals into loving homes from 2000-to-2006
*Atlanta Humane Society spays and neuters 100% of its animals
*AHS houses an average of 500 animals a day
