“Vanessa and Darin changed our lives by training Shadow. They made it possible for us to enjoy our dog the way dogs are supposed to be enjoyed! Shadow became the talk of the neighborhood because she was the perfect dog who listened when we gave her a command. Our small children, then 11, 7, and 5 years old were able to take her outside and handle her. Shadow didn’t have to wear the pinch collar anymore, could be off-leash, and was more confident. The most amazing thing about the training and this experience is that they trained Shadow with quiet voices and gentleness. She had been through a couple of training sessions, (before we found Vanessa and Darin) with another trainer, who started using harsh tones, and yanking her off her feet to make her listen. Once I saw that, I never went back to that trainer! For the past six years we have enjoyed Shadow so much and finally got another German Shepherd. Shadow loves Duke and he will soon be much bigger than her. He is the opposite of Shadow and very stubborn. While going for walks, Duke would throw himself down on the ground when he was done walking! It was impossible to take him for a walk with Shadow, because he would weave all over the place, pounce on her, and pull the kids. It was a muscle game all over again! We knew exactly what had to be done and contacted Sit Means Sit sent Duke to them when he was 7 months old. Vanessa worked with him for two weeks and when Duke came home he was off-leash trained. He was even more lovable and joyous to be around. Together, Duke and Shadow make a great pair of dogs. We have so much fun with them and can take them anywhere knowing they will obey our commands. It would not have been possible without the help of Sit Means Sit. We have great dogs because of them! A dog is only as good as the owners and how much time, effort, or training they are willing to invest in him or her. If you want your dog to be the most amazing pet you could ever have, call Sit Means Sit. You will forever be grateful and will have the best and most rewarding relationship with your dog. If you still have doubts before enrolling, have Vanessa or Darin contact us so you can see for yourself! “Adele McMurry, Shadow & Duke
"We’ve been using Darin’s training methods and remote collar for over a year and are very pleased with our results! Our Husky / Shiba Inu mix also loves the freedom she now enjoys. Her obedience as a result of the training that we received from Darin allows us take her with us wherever we go."
“My dog Scully is a yellow lab, and when I got her as a small puppy, I was not prepared for how big she would become. I started her off with group classes at a local pet retail store, which honestly did little except teach me how to not get her to bark a lot. After almost a year, she was so big that I could hardly walk her. Not unlike most labs, she liked to jump up on people, run around like crazy, knock over the little ones, chew everything in sight, and just generally didn’t listen to anything we said. Though we kept her crated in our home, she did a LOT of damage to the outside of our home. And, she like to jump the electronic fence we had installed, making our neighbors very nervous! In summary, training was the last chance she had. When Darin came to our home to demonstrate the Sit Mean Sit training, I was shocked at how he could control my dog so easily within minutes. After a few lessons, I was able to control her as well. Through my consistent practice and training with her, Scully has blossomed into one of the most beautiful and lovable yellow labs you ever want to meet. I trained her to run with me right by my side. Through the training techniques, I was able to teach her to listen to my children’s commands. Now, my 4 year old can tell Scully what to do and she listens obediently. She no longer chews up everything in sight. She is gentle with my little ones and doesn’t jump all over the neighbors when they come by. Now the neighbors call to her affectionately! If you have a dog that is creating a lot of stress in your life, please call Sit Means Sit. You will be glad you did. There is great satisfaction in being able to control your dog. You may not be able to control your husband or wife or kids, but your dog WILL listen to you and you will be very proud!!”
One of the most common requests that we get is for “potty training”. At Sit Means Sit, extraordinary results are the norm. Here is a picture of Sonic and Beck taking a much needed bathroom break after our dog training demonstrations at a recent expo.
Here is a short dog training video from our recent Pet Expo in Orlando, Florida. It was a great time training with Fred Hassen from Las Vegas, Dave Skoletsky from Denver, and the entire Sit Means Sit gang from our Florida locations. My Sit Means Sit Atlanta Dog Training team will be on hand at the upcoming Atlanta Pet Expo in May 2009. You can find more details here.
