"I joined the Atlanta Sit Means Sit classes in September of 2007 with my bloodhound, Karma. Karma had been to 2 other obedience courses since my adopting her earlier that year, but I found that I had a hard time keeping her attention. I was always having to pull on her leash, and I had to use a choke chain to keep her focused and under control. I would never had considered letting her off-leash, and hated to be pulling on her neck with the chain every time we went for a walk. All that changed when the trainer we had been working with referred us to Sit Means Sit, where we met Vanessa. This has been a life changing experience for both of us- it has improved the way we communicate and strengthened our bond. There is no longer that level of frustration in having her do what I ask. No one ever expected my stubborn hound to be very well trained, but she has exceeded my expectations and does so happily. We have been going to weekly classes for over a year now and have had the opportunity to work with Darin, Chris and Alex as well. Karma loves her doggy school day and the other dogs in the class, and I love that I can now work her off-leash. All the trainers have obviously found their calling in this profession. It is wonderful to work with a group people that understand dogs and have an amazing way of training not only the dogs, but the owners! I am glad to see that when there are dogs that have issues with each other or with a particular task that they take the time at that moment to address it and help them work through it. Thanks to everyone with Sit Means Sit who has worked with Karma to give us the relationship that we have today! "

“I have said it before but I will say it again, without you we would not have been able to keep our dog Grayce. She was a rescue and had apparently been abused. She was very aggressive towards people and tried to kill Darin when they first met. Now she is a loving dog who wants only to be petted. The change is remarkable. She owes her happy home and life to Darin and Chris and the great training of Sit Means Sit. The Douglas County Humane Society even wants to do a success story on Grayce.” Paige McKelvey and “Grayce”
"I started my dog training with Sit Means Sit Atlanta when he was a wild little puppy (a Shih tzu/poodle mix) - about 6 months old and about to drive me crazy! Imagine my surprise when on the first lesson he truly learned 2 commands! Amazing! We worked with our pup every day in between ‘lessons’ and after 4 sessions, he was trained - unbeleivable. We also attended a few group sessions which were fun and I was very proud of how well Oscar did at those too - even with other dogs around. I would totally recommend Sit Means Sit dog training!!" :)Marcy Medinger
"My family and I wanted to thank you for all the help you have given us with our dog Wingo. The Sit Means Sit training system has made dog ownership such a joy. With two young children in our home having complete control of an 80 lbs German Shepherd is a must for our family. We are able to take our dog everywhere with us with absolutely no worries. Our family is no longer a prisoner to the leash!!
Thanks again for bringing Sit Means Sit to Atlanta. And we look forward to training our new puppy with Sit Means Sit."

Stacy and Fernando Colón and Family
"I have been pleased with the training methods by Sit means Sit. I’ve had various dogs for all of my adult life and have seen methods change over the years. My first pup was trained by the pop the leash method who turned out wonderful as did my "bait trained" Yorkshire terriers which I had years later.
Presently my Airedale Terrier is 4 years old. She was the first to be clicker trained. However my Airedale, Belle is obsessed with food…….which I believe resulted from the click & treat method or at the least was made worse because of the click and treat training.
Even with all of the tricks & skills the clicker method allowed me to teach her, walking without pulling on the leash was not taught to my satisfaction. I simply grew tired of trying. Going for a walk meant having a pocket full of bait and it was more trouble than it was worth. I owned a dog which could do several tricks, but could not go on a relaxing walk. A year ago we added a 2nd dog,Gladys. ( Spinone Italaino). She is 15 months old now. With Sit means Sit, Gladys learned quickly and now Belle knows how to walk pretty also!
It feels great to walk with a the largest of the terrier group and have control!
I recommend the Sit means Sit method to everybody!
Thumbs up to Sit means Sit!"

Did getting that additional puppy create even more stress at home?? Did getting Rover a new friend to "help" with his behaviors actually increase the dog problems at home? Does training multiple dogs take work? You bet it does, but not nearly as much work as you would think when you are working with Sit Means Sit Dog Training.
Have more than one dog? Give us a call and we’ll schedule your free home demo! PLUS You get 50% OFF any additional dog you train with SMS of Atlanta. Call us today at 770-214-9247 or email for your free demo.
