LAS VEGAS DOCKDOGS ON FAITHFUL FRIENDS TV SERIES | INTERVIEW AT LAKE HAVASU

Our ‘Sit Means Sit’ trainer, Ryan McGuire, was contacted by Tony Loiacono, the Creator and Executive Producer of Faithful Friends TV Series: http://www.faithfulfriends.tv/, as seen on Animal Planet, to give some demonstrations of our ‘Sit Means Sit’ trained dogs as well as ‘Las Vegas Dock Dogs’, who ‘Sit Means Sit’ proudly sponsors.

A houseboat was arranged for the video shoot out at Lake Havasu, Arizona. The weather was HOT, even the lake water was really really warm. With lots of shade and water, we managed and the dogs didn’t seem to mind : )

The houseboat extended past the dock, so the cameraman could get some terrific shots of the dogs launching outwards into the water. We were also able to set up our Las Vegas DockDogs Extreme Vertical rig on the houseboat, in perfect position for the dogs to demonstrate Extreme Vertical.

The above video features a clip from the interview of Fred Hassen as well as Dock Diving demonstrations with Lisa Weber & ‘Tractor’, Ryan McGuire & ‘Reverend’, Fred Hassen & ‘Rex’, Lianne Hassen & ‘Tank’.

‘SIT MEANS SIT’ PROUDLY SPONSORS ‘TEAM TRACTOR’ AT THE DOCKDOGS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Congratulations to Lisa Weber and her yellow labrador retriever, Tractor (TEAM TRACTOR) for being invited to the Dock Dogs World Championships to compete in EV (Extreme Verticle).

‘Sit Means Sit’ proudly sponsors TEAM TRACTOR as they are so impressed with Tractor’s Extreme Vertical jump of 6′ 10″ which earned them the invite to the DockDogs World Championships.

Lisa Weber and ‘Tractor’, (TEAM TRACTOR) are proud members of the Las Vegas DockDogs Club.

Here is the video of the winning EV jump in Dubuque, earlier this year, that earned Tractor and Lisa their invite to the DockDogs World Championships. The most impressive factor being that this was Tractor’s first time trying EV (Extreme Vertical). Good Boy Tractor!!!

INTRODUCING “THE HOTTEST ACTION IN VEGAS”… LAS VEGAS DOCK DOGS!!!

Visit the Las Vegas Dock Dogs Club website: www.LasVegasDockDogs.com

Las Vegas DockDogs is a nationally sanctioned affiliate DockDogs Club. Having a DockDogs Club in Las Vegas only makes sense with the high temperatures that Las Vegas Nevada has. The sport of Dock Diving is quickly taking over at local events and venues where dogs are allowed.

In this video, some of our club members enjoy a day at the Lake working on their dogs entering the water with a high launch. The water at the lake is very refreshing and a nice escape from the Las Vegas heat.

We had about 11 or so dogs jumping into the water this day and the location was perfect so all of the dogs could cool off, practice their jumps and have fun at the same time.

My Favorite Photos of ‘Tank’ & ‘Flip’
Two of my favorite photos taken by Lisa Weber of Captain Big Bark and Company Photography. ‘Tank’ and ‘Flip’ jumping at the same time (don’t worry, he didn’t land on her)

ANIMAL ACTOR | PHOTO SHOOT FOR NATIONWIDE INSURANCE with ‘FLIP’

‘Flip’ was chosen for a Nationwide ad in Las Vegas, Nevada. This included 2 days on-set for their photo shoot.

The first day was only a couple of hours posing with a family while their car was repaired by a Pit Crew in a driveway. ‘Flip’ knew the little girl that she was posing with from a prior ad she was in for a local community out here in Las Vegas which was nice.

The second day was much more intensive (8 hours) as we were scheduled on a road out near Lake Mead, which in the summer in Las Vegas, can be HOT. Luckily, there was an awesome RV for us to relax in and stay cool while we were on break. ‘Flip’ had to sit with the family again, but this time their was a helicopter hovering overhead shooting the photos of them. This was particularly difficult because I (Lianne) had to position myself at a great distance from ‘Flip’ so I wasn’t in the shot. In order to make things go smoothly, I gave the family the instructions on how to keep ‘Flip’ in a sit position. They did awesome!

In addition to the helicopter shot, we also had to do a shot with ‘Flip’ sticking her head out of the car window while the Pit Crew worked on the car. It was basically over an hour of ‘Flip’ having to hold her “Spread em” command out of the car window. The only complication was that the car had child safety windows, so it was difficult for ‘Flip’ to get good extension out of the car window, but we managed because she had such a good “Spread em” command.

All of the posing/acting that ‘Flip’ did was without her collar on. She was, as always, very reliable!

Q&A AT ROLEX KENTUCKY | WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TAKE THE COLLAR OFF?

People tend to notice how happy our dogs are first and foremost. All of the cute tricks and high level of attention usually sparks peoples interest for a while. Then they notice the little black box on our dogs collar and that is when we usually hear the question “will the dog listen without the collar on?”. The answer is YES, infact, my dog ‘Tank’ has earned all of his titles without any equipment on and he is very reliable. You’ll see in this video that Ashton Fitz-Gerald and myself take the collars off of both ‘Pharoah’ and ‘Tank’ to demonstrate how well our dogs listen with the collar off.
