ANIMAL ACTOR | PHOTO SHOOT FOR NATIONWIDE INSURANCE with ‘FLIP’
‘Flip’ was chosen for a Nationwide ad in Las Vegas, Nevada. This included 2 days on-set for their photo shoot.
The first day was only a couple of hours posing with a family while their car was repaired by a Pit Crew in a driveway. ‘Flip’ knew the little girl that she was posing with from a prior ad she was in for a local community out here in Las Vegas which was nice.
The second day was much more intensive (8 hours) as we were scheduled on a road out near Lake Mead, which in the summer in Las Vegas, can be HOT. Luckily, there was an awesome RV for us to relax in and stay cool while we were on break. ‘Flip’ had to sit with the family again, but this time their was a helicopter hovering overhead shooting the photos of them. This was particularly difficult because I (Lianne) had to position myself at a great distance from ‘Flip’ so I wasn’t in the shot. In order to make things go smoothly, I gave the family the instructions on how to keep ‘Flip’ in a sit position. They did awesome!
In addition to the helicopter shot, we also had to do a shot with ‘Flip’ sticking her head out of the car window while the Pit Crew worked on the car. It was basically over an hour of ‘Flip’ having to hold her “Spread em” command out of the car window. The only complication was that the car had child safety windows, so it was difficult for ‘Flip’ to get good extension out of the car window, but we managed because she had such a good “Spread em” command.
All of the posing/acting that ‘Flip’ did was without her collar on. She was, as always, very reliable!
