Testimony (Shitz tzu)

My dogs are literally “my world”.  Deciding to call Tom Mancuso with “Sit Means Sit” was not an easy decision.  You see, I have always considered myself a good trainer with my pups and my current puppy was NOT really a bad dog.  However, my little dog “Doc” (a Shih Tzu) had a change in his personality within a short time.  He became fearful of other dogs, so walking him could be a challenge.  He also began to show fear of children - to the extent that he bit a young girl who placed her face directly on his and he defended himself by a bite.  My fear for the girl and mostly my shock that my darling little dog could do this, scared me enough to research options to helping “Doc” and myself cope with his new fears.  I called three businesses - only Tom Mancuso called me back immediately.  He reassured me, helped me realize I did not have an aggressive dog, and gave me confidence this could be resolved.  We set up an appointment and the rest is history.  I would recommend him to anyone!  I am so thrilled with the results - Doc is walking with other dogs with less concern.  He is greeting children again properly and I LOVE being able to go out in the front yard with him without a leash knowing I still have some control.  He has been very responsive to this gentle training.  I feel I am gaining as much confidence as Doc is and as I continue our Lifetime Group Classes I’m sure only more positive results will occur.  My genuine thanks goes to Tom and his family!
