Blue Springs
The off-leash Dog Park at Gregory O. Grounds Park includes a small pond, a people/canine water fountain and a dog wash area.

Independence
Santa Fe Park offers an enclosed, off-leash area for dogs that includes seating and a water fountain for pets and their owners.

Kansas City
Penn Valley Dog Park, with 2.7 fenced acres, offers water fountains for people and pets.

Bark Park at Wayside Waifs is a five-acre, off-leash park for members only (daily membership is $2; monthly, $17.50; annual, $120). The park is fenced. It offers separate areas for small dogs and puppies, multiple watering stations, “time-out” kennels and more.

Lee’s Summit
Happy Tails is a five-acre park with dog agility equipment as well as playground equipment.

The James A. Reed Memorial Wildlife Area allows dog training in some parts of its more than 2,600 acres. It also has 12 lakes. It’s operated by the Missouri Department of Conservation. For information, call (816) 622-0900.
