Sit Means Sit Dog Training in Southern New Jersey
Sit Means Sit, a Southern New Jersey dog training school located in Cedar Brook, is owned by Lisa Harford. Lisa's passion for improving the quality of life of all dogs and their owners led her to pursue a career as a professional dog obedience trainer. She is an honors graduate of the "No Limitations" school for remote collar training as well as the "Animal Behavior College". With an 11-year history in the field of nursing, Lisa has an extensive background in teaching and educating which helps facilitate the dog-owner relationship.
Lisa also serves as a member of Pennsylvania Task Force 1 K9, a FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Team as well as maintaining active certification with her dog, Rocky, through "The Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs". In her spare time she takes Rocky for therapy visits to the local hospital, and does demonstrations for local organizations. She also continues her education by hosting and attending seminars and courses related to many aspects of Sit Means Sit Dog Training.
Lisa is committed to dog training, dog obedience and the Sit Means Sit philosophy! All of your Southern New Jersey dog obedience needs will be met by Lisa and Sit Means Sit!
We are writing this letter to tell others of the positive experience we have had with Sit Means Sit training and Kristin Zimmerman.
Having 3 dogs, we need to have discipline in our home. Unfortunately, that is not always the case. Up until now, a walk with our 3 dogs consisted of walking during quiet hours. Our dogs walk on a lead perfectly, until…… they see another dog, then everything breaks loose, barking, pulling, complete chaos.
Treats, whistles, choker chains, Caesar Milan "the dog whisperer" methods all failed. We then starting walking the dogs in off hours, usually during normal work hours in the hopes that very few dogs would be around. Since dogs weren't around, neither were people, so then eventually seeing people became an issue. We actually were perpetuating the problem..
Our other issue is with the doors that enter our home. Once you were in the house, everything was fine, it was just getting you in that was brutal. Again, barking, jumping, chaos. Also, never realizing the indirect reward our pets get when barking at the mailman and him leaving, which is consistent every day.
After 3 sessions with Kristin Zimmerman and Sit Means Sits training methods, things are much more pleasant at our home. We now walk our 3 dogs anytime day or night, we are able to meet and greet other friends and Dogs without incidence. It also has become much easier to open our door and welcome guests into a pleasant environment without having to worry about dogs jumping on them.
We have truly benefited by the training and most importantly our Dogs are less stressed and walked more…
This has been a very positive experience and would recommend Kristin and Sit Means Sit highly.
