Introducing Jedi, the Havanese.

As a long time Star Wars fan, I was intrigued when I heard we had a “Jedi” coming in for training. This little guy had a great first lesson. He is in for a short stay as a jumpstart to his private lessons that start very soon. His new manners will make life much more enjoyable around his house.

Our friend Shadow has come back for a few days of board & review training

We were excited to see our buddy Shadow, the Labrador. A graduate of our boarding training, he occasionally comes back for a short stay when his family is away. He is a bundle of energy and as soon as he was set free in the training room he jumped at he chance to get on the treadmill. He really enjoys his runs.

And here’s Booboo the Chihuahua

This is Booboo, Yogi’s brother. A much smaller dog than his brother, he has just as much personality as Yogi. Booboo is a bit submissive and nervous, but will certainly make progress while in our training. We are looking forward to helping bring this guy out of his shell.

Introducing Yogi the Chihuahua to our board and training program

Yogi and his brother Booboo have just joined us for training. We’ve had quite a few small dogs join us this week. A lot of people think that little dogs don’t require training or either need a “different” approach due to their size. While our remote collar system has proven to be fantastic for the larger dogs, it is equally effective and beneficial for the toy dogs. Treats prove difficult simply due to the tiny tidbits that you have to handle to train and traditional leash training can be to physically demanding for the tiny dogs. Here is another great video of a chihuahua trained here at Sit Means Sit Atlanta dog training.

Beau the Rottweiler, our new front door greeter

Beau has become our new front door greeter here at our training center. Surprisingly, we have not had any solicitors, tax collectors or other unwanted visitors this week, so unfortunately he is getting lonely at the door. Feel free to stop in to meet the big guy and help with his manners.

Deuce is sporting his wind blown look

Here is Deuce, one of our board & train-oodles. We train all sorts of Poodles, Labradoodles, Goldendoodles and other oodles.

Today Deuce is sporting his cool wind blown look outside of Oz Pizza. While his trainer gives the gluten free white pizza two thumbs up, Deuce gives two paws down as dogs are not allowed, even on the patio :(

However, he did enjoy the great weather while overlooking the fountain.

Board & Train Rex, the Schnauzer is ready for a nap

This little guy is worn out after a busy afternoon of field trips. We often train all over town; in stores, parks, neighborhoods and more, to help prepare your dog for real world distractions. Having your dog listen even around major distractions is one of our specialties.

Rex is ready for a nap but it won’t take this high energy boy long to recover and he will be ready for more fun

Sonic helps out at the vet clinic

Sonic is helping to restrain my new puppy Demi at one of her vet visits. Having control while under a veterinary exam makes it much easier for your Doctor as well as the dog. Sonic is also here for his annual exam. Here we are using the “place” command for Sonic to remain in the chair waiting his turn. He also uses place to hold him on the exam table as seen in this video
