To whom it may concern,
I saw Chris for the first time when he was doing a demo at Orion Shopping centre with two of his dogs from the Sit Means Sit program. His presentation impressed me so much that although I did not have a dog at the time, I asked him for his business card. A few months later, I decided to surprise my wife by buying a beautiful 2 month old Airedale Terrier. Having just moved into a new house, we knew that we needed Matilda to behave very well.
The vet recommended enrolling her into puppy pre-school, however the class was postponed a few times and Matilda became too old for it. In the meantime, I started training Matilda myself with food rewards. Nevertheless, I discovered that although she learnt the commands, she was very stubborn and only responded if she suspected I was going to reward her with food treats. She clearly did not see me as the pack leader. I then called Chris for help and agreed to meet him at my house. He did a brief demo on Matilda using the Sit Means Sit training method. I was very impressed and decided to enrol Matilda inChris’ class. In our private lessons Chris not only showed me how to apply his technique in a positive way, but taught me how to get the results that I wanted. He helped me to re-train Matilda and after just two sessions I started to notice the difference in her behaviour.
Now we can walk on the street off leash, around birds, cats, cars or other dogs and Matilda responds enthusiastically to me every time that’s needed. And best of all both of us are enjoying our daily walks.
I regularly take Matilda to one of the Sit Means Sit classes that Chris conducts to practice new techniques, reinforce what we have learnt and let Matilda socialise with other dogs. All the dogs that attend these classes are very pleasant natured and I only realised their behavioural problems they had in the past after chatting with their owners. That is proof enough for me that Chris is very good at what he does.
The day I have another dog I would not hesitate to contact Chris to train as I am convinced that he is the best in the business.
Sincerely

Millie (left) and Patch (right) are great dogs and they are great fun. BUT, and it’s a pretty big but, I could NEVER stop Millie from pulling on the lead (even after three conventional treat-based training courses). Millie also could never be off-lead as she would charge aggressively at other dogs and bark, or else see something tasty (like a scrub turkey) and be off like a rocket, ignoring my calls. The low point with Millie was a dog fight at the local dog park where Millie bit someone, leaving a pretty bad mark on the person’s leg. After that I decided that something had to be done. A friend recommended Sit Means Sit to me and ever since meeting Chris and using his method of dog training, Millie and I haven’t looked back. Millie stopped pulling on the lead within her first walk and I can reliably take her on and off-lead both on pathways and at fenced and unfenced off-lead areas. Now when Millie runs up to another dog to sniff hello, she doesn’t go psycho. With the training Chris gave me, I finally feel like I can communicate with Millie on walks so that she knows what she is supposed to do. What a relief! Thanks so much Chris, now I can enjoy Millie and Patch 100%.

I am a dog breeder and trainer in Victoria. I had seen on U-tube some of the amazing results Sit Means Sit (SMS) dog trainers where achieving with dogs. I rang the only SMS trainer in Australia, Chris Flegler in Brisbane Queensland and discussed the training concepts. I then decided the only way to fully understand the principals of using the SMS system as a trainer, was to travel to Queensland and undertake a course of training with Chris.
Chris is a very friendly and honest person who in no time really opened my eyes with what the SMS training can achieve in a dog. The most amazing thing I found is the dogs learn faster than any other system I have seen and it is almost like another language we can use to communicate with the dog. Once the dogs understand the concept of what is being asked of them, they really love to learn and you can see it on their face how much they are enjoying it.
I am now doing things with my dogs and dog training that I could never comprehend or think of doing before. Chris and the SMS system have really opened my eyes to training in a positive way. This system works like no other from basic obedience to very difficult behavior problems and everything in between.
I recommend Chris Flegler at SMS Brisbane to all dog owners and trainers, as the system really works. No matter whatever you want to achieve, SMS will give you a totally different and very close relationship with your dog like no other method can provide. SMS is the future of dog training!!

“My idea of a good walk with my dog is for him to comfortably walk beside me at a steady even pace. Unfortunately, that conflicted with my dog’s idea of a good walk – namely pulling on the lead for at least the first 10 minutes, getting excited if another dog was anywhere in sight, visiting a number of trees on the way and on occasions actually trying to lunge at other dogs. Needless to say, I didn’t enjoy walking my dog! That was until I met Chris and trialed his ‘Sit Means Sit’ program. Following amazing results gained during the introductory session, we continued with the program with two follow-up private sessions and attendance at the fortnightly group training sessions. Not only is my dog now attentive and listens to my commands, he also ignores other dogs and is an absolute joy to walk. Thanks Chris! ”

Little dog, BIG attitude!
Cezar (our 3 yr old mini foxy) is an energetic little dog with one big attitude! With Chris’ help, Cezar is now a much happier little guy – and we are happier too. Cezar now knows clearly what is expected of him and we are more confident with him.
Cezar is a smart little dog who had some basic obedience skills down pat, like sit, lie down and come (when he wanted to!). Though with our first baby on the way we wanted to get more control over him – and get him to do what we wanted him to 100% of the time.
Cezar now responds to all of our commands when we want him to and it has made such a difference to our lives. Our friends and family have been amazed and very impressed at the difference in him. We are now confident that we will be able to have control over him when our baby arrives.
We’ve tried other dog training before but as Chris’ system is so unique and tailored it is this system that has made the difference for us. Also having Chris come to us to do the training made it really convenient.
Chris has gone above and beyond to help us out with Cezar is preparation for the arrival of our first baby. I would recommend Chris’ and the ‘Sit Means Sit’ training to all dog owners.
Thanks Chris!
Sue.
