Dog training is not a part-time endeavor for us. It’s all we do. As expert Central Texas dog trainers, we welcome the hard cases– especially aggression, fears and phobias, and red zone dogs. We can train any dog, from any breed. All we need is an owner who is motivated to get results and has a positive attitude, and we can transform your dog into the pet you’ve always dreamed of owning.

Grace Jackson with Sammy & Lil’bit
I’ve been working with dogs since I was a teenager and have always been a dog lover. I initially came to Sit Means Sit as a client for a dog who had severe aggression issues. After going through the training program and seeing amazing results, I realized I wanted to make a transition in my career path from working in the medical field to working with dogs full time as a trainer. Not only am I able to control by dog’s aggression problems, but I can do so off leash and he is much happier now! Helping dogs become well balanced and teaching owners how to reach their goals in training their dogs is my ultimate goal. I look forward to meeting with you and helping you reach your goals!
Elana Elwart with Jazzy & Grace
After getting my first dog Grace I was dedicated to ensuring we both lived in harmony. I became a client of Sit Means Sit because they offered the type of training that provided the balanced life style I was seeking. I was so happy with the Sit Means Sit system that I became a dog trainer and love every second I get to spend with my own dogs and clients’ dogs. All three of us are all able to live without constant yelling, hyper activity, and destruction in the home. Living a healthy, happy and balanced life is what I bring to each lesson and help clients to achieve with their dogs. I look forwarding to meeting you and your dog and helping you achieve your balanced life.
Karen Thorn & Callie
I am excited to join the team at Sit Means Sit Central Texas. Growing up I always had horses and dogs. I trained horses professionally for over 25 years with State and National Titles in the US as well as Australia in both the American Quarter Horse Assoc. and the National Cutting Horse Assoc. In 1980 I graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor Science Degree in Biomedical Science. With an intense passion for the outdoors, one of my joys is for bird hunting which I have done for several years. I originally came to Sit Means Sit for training for my Yellow Lab Callie. She was completely out of control and I wanted to be able to enjoy her and couldn’t even think of taking her hunting at the time. Now I am so pleased to be able to take her anywhere with me off leash and maintain control while still allowing her the freedom to be a dog! Bringing the success I experienced with Callie to others, has become my greatest desire in training dogs. And now one Callie’s favorite things to do is be in the frozen foods section at the grocery store!

Hello, my name is Codi Baumgardner. I have a GSD that is a year and a half, named Baron. About a year ago, we did a consultation at the Harker Heights park. We did not have the funds at the time to pursue training but we are now looking into it again. I do not still have the paperwork that was given to me at the consultation and did not know if you kept the forms or was hoping to get more information again. Thank you very much!
Codi,
We still have your information and would love to visit with you more. We will try contacting you soon. If your contact information has changed, please call the office at 254-541-3343 at your earliest convenience. We look forward to working with you and Baron. Thanks and have a wonderful day!
My rat terrier of almost 9 years, who is also a houdini. Got out of our yard today and went into a neighbours yard that has a great dane. Well needless to say the great dane attacked and put him in the vets for most of the day. He will be ok but, this has been going on for 9 years and no matter what I have tried it keeps happening. jD is really a sweet and well behaved dog, but when he gets the chance to explore and investigate new smells its like he has tunnel vision and hears no one. I was wondering how much your program would cost? And if you think it might work for us? Next time I may not be this lucky and he may get hurt worse or killed. Please help.
Serena,

I have a 2 yr old Pom, I purschased him when he was still a puppy, I figured i’ll give you guys a shot before i put him up for adoption. Its been 2 years of just bad behavior with him. I can’t blame the puppy when its up to the owner to take responsibility. I saw how many dogs ends up in the pound so i don’t want to be that kind of owner.

Do you have classes for AKC Rally trials? My Doberman and I were in classes in
Killeen and have participated in several AKC rally trials. He needs to finish his
Advanced title. Our trainer moved to San Antonio.
At this time we do not offer Rally classes. We have introduced some of our clients to the sport during group class, however, we have nothing devoted to the sport at this time. Watch our website though and this may be something we offer in the future!
