Fritz is a two year old shepherd. Before Mike he would not listen to my husband or myself. He would jump on people, run around the neighborhood and in kind words be a bad dog. Since training he is the dog we always dreamed of. He listens, doesn’t jump on people and will do anything we ask. Stay, no problem, sit, anywhere we point. It is amazing. My husband and I were almost at witz end with fritz. But now he is by far our dream dog. Mike was fantastic really understood what we wanted from fritz and helped us achieve our goals. My neighbors stopped by only after the first training to tell us how wonderful he was and to make sure it was the same dog. THAT WAS SO WORTH IT. Sit means sit really changed our dog and our lives.

4130 BMX PARK

We had a BLAST last weekend at the 4130 BMX PARK in Canton, OH! We are a proud sponsor of the 4130 BMX Park Race Team which is a regional bicycle motorcross team consisting of 30 Riders who are also involved in civic activities, parades, bike safety inspections and more! The riders are age 5 to 40 and most are in the rookie to novice class! We couldn’t be happier to be a sponsor and help children stay active in sports and spend less time playing video games! Check out some of our pictures from last week’s race!

April Client Spotlight of the Month

Rocco is a three year old French Bulldog who lives with his owners in Shaker Heights, Ohio. Michelle, his owner, came to Sit Means Sit Cleveland-Akron in search of obedience and off-leash training for Rocco. After completing a one-week boarding program, here’s what Michelle says about Rocco’s training with Sit Means Sit:

“Rocco, my adult French Bulldog, has brought so much joy into my life. However, in the 3 years we have been together, I have been very lax in providing Rocco with any training because of the long hours that I work. It wasn’t until I met my girlfriend, Shaw, that I recognized all the bad behaviors I had tolerated over the years. It finally became clear to both of us that Rocco was running the household and that something needed to change. I found Sit Means Sit through Fox 8′s Hot List as the #1 rated dog training program in the area. I knew I had a real “bulldog” on my hands and I needed to hire the best I could find.

I must say I was a little doubtful that Rocco’s bad habits could be altered and that he could learn any basic commands. But, after the initial consultation with our trainer Jim, he assured me that Rocco could indeed be trained and I purchased the Jumpstart Program. Imagine my surprise when I saw the first video of Rocco sitting off-camera and coming to Jim on command after just a few days. When he came home after a full week of training, Rocco was performing seven new commands and I was easily able to practice and master the program in just a few short hours. Jim was great about answering all questions and assisting with the transition.

Thank you for turning Rocco into a well-behaved member of the family. I can’t wait to bring him to a few of the training classes to reinforce the good behavior and keep Rocco on track. This was the best investment I could have made in my little buddy.”

Mike has done an exceptional job training our 5 month old chocolate lab, Buster, or should I say training us on how to train and communicate with our dog. When Mike showed up on our doorstep we were more than ready to have Buster trained to do just the basics. Mike went above and beyond the basics. He taught our kids how to safely approach dogs. He really honed in on specific areas that we were lacking in. We saw results immediately! Now, we actually enjoy taking Buster for walks in the park. It is very obvious that Mike has a love for training dogs. I recommended Mike from Sit Means Sit to everyone I know with a dog after the first day of training.
