The UKC Sanctioned Club, Aqua Dogs, will be holding another UKC Sanctioned Dock Diving Competition this October 8 & 9, 2011, and it is being hosted by the Dock Diving Club, Ultimate Air Dogs. Competition is open to the novice jumper all the way to the expert competitor! Aqua Dogs is all about just having some family fun. Practice dock will open at 9am. Sunday, Oct 9, 1pm-4pm is the Sit Means Sit Customer Appreciation Day, which will be part of the Aqua Dogs and Ultimate Air Dogs Dock Diving Competition, Octoberfest. Everyone is invited! Come and enjoy a Hog Roast and a Costume Contest for the dogs. There will be a $50 cash prize for the Best Costume. Please bring your favorite covered dish or dessert, and chairs!

GOOD NEWS! Sit Means Sit Trainer, Elizabeth Liss, will now be hosting a Canine Good Citizen Workshop, to help prepare for and obtain The American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen Certificate. Elizabeth Liss and her CGC Certified pup Kobe, are now certified to administer the AKC CGC test. Elizabeth will be hosting a 2 part CGC Workshop. The CGC Review Class will help prepare you for the following week’s CGC test. The fee for the Review Class is $45, and the fee for the test is $10.
It’s not too late to register for our next session of Puppy Preschool. Puppy Preschool is held at Sit Means Sit, twice a week for 4 weeks. Our socialization and management classes are a fun and fantastic way to socialize your puppy and incorporate basic obedience at the same time. This is a great class for puppies, but could also be used for older dogs who are beginners in training. Please review the class information below and give us a call if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you on February 7, 2012.

This Puppy Preschool session begins on February 7, 2012 and will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-7 pm through March 1, 2012

Thanks to The Fairfield Area Humane Society and the Fairfield Pet Hospital for offering a $7 Rabies Clinic at Paws in the Pool. The Rescue Groups, Fairfield Area Humane Society and Hopeful Hearts will also both be offering microchip clinics at Paws in the Pool.
