Two male Belgian Malinois learning side by side
This is Mr Beck and Simon, two male Malinois learning to work side by side. This is a lot of male Mal ‘horse power” packed around one handler.
It’s a lot of fun playing with dogs and even more fun when you can play with two side by side!
PS: That’s Spanky the Multipoo, AKA distractor.
Hope you enjoy it!
Pitbull Puppy learning some Basic Obedience for place work drills
“Chunk” is shown here learning the basic progression of the “Place Command” with one of our JR Trainer’s Kaipo. Right now we are focusing on implementing body language, some food luring, “Marker Training” and the leash is used as a gentle guide only as needed. As she progress’s she will be incorporating our SMS Collar as the attention aid and working off leash as she shows understanding and proficiency. We will then move into increasing the standard elements of Duration, Distance and Distraction.
We offer two training models, Jump Start programs that include private lessons and a Private lesson model with a variety of lesson packages as well. All of our obedience training programs are supported with Lifetime phone consulting, an Annual review lesson and Reinforcement lessons as needed for the life of your dog come. PitBull Nina, a video testimonial about her training
Nina needed a confidence boost so she could get a grasp of some much needed manners. Remember our training is not magic or luck, it’s a progressive plan that meets the dog right where it’s at. Small steps are mandatory and always setting the dog up for incremental steps forward are vital to replicating transformations like Nina has showcased here.
So whatever your challenges and concerns are, please include us when considering your solutions and options.
Please give us a call and we’ll come out to you for a FREE Demonstration with your dog. The Demo takes 40-60 minutes and is a great way to see what we can do to help you.

This Dog Loves His Remote
Mr Ubu shows us how much he likes his new training with Sit Means Sit. He had struggled with his manners around children, adults and dogs. Containment was his only safe haven for all of his high energy. Previously five dog trainers had quit on him and two Vets had recommended him to be put to sleep. But new beginnings happened when he landed in Hawaii. His positive transformation began the moment we started working with him in the Demo.

German Shepherd Puppy and Junior trainer
Junior trainer Kaipo works together with “Ginger”, a 5 month old German Shepherd. Ginger is working on using multiple place objects off leash. Kaipo is using “marker training” and a little food luring to help Ginger problem solve.
Once Ginger grasps a skill we begin the repetition phase of training the skill which then moves into using using the marker reward intermittently. This way she is allowed to make progress in her proficiency that is rewarded with play and affection, verses just food alone.

Teaching a Malinois basic obedience positions using a “Chukit” as a lure and Marker Reward
This is Simon he is a 16 month old (at the time of this filming) Belgian Malinois. We are using a “Chuckit” as a lure to teach basic obedience positions as well as a “Marker reward” with the ball. It’s nice to add toys as reward and expand from food currencies. What’s important is to place the value on the game with the handler and not on the food or type of toy. In fact it’s a great benefit to constantly integrate new items as vehicles for the game play instead of focusing on a single “best liked” toy. A PVC pipe should bring just as much “game “intensity as a tennis ball.
Hope you enjoy it!
15 month old Dutch Shepherd is shown learning foundational steps for off leash directionals
Chris is shown here with Xena a 15 month old Dutch Shepherd. They are working on building a foundation for straight line directionals. We are using large targets to help Xena grasp the concept. We are using the truck to increase her intensity and focus because she will have to jump in both directions. We are also incorporating food rewards intermittently. You’ll notice Chris is sending her from both sides and this helps clarify the concept by showing Xena a different “picture” of the task. The dog needs to understand that a directional send away or cast, is the same whether the handler is on the left or right side of the dog, as well as in front of or behind the dog.
