Frankie writes a letter

Thank you SO much for training my adopted parents – Dave and Mary.  When I first started living with them it was obvious they needed help in dealing with a dog.  Nick gave them the knowledge and confidence to train me be a pretty darn good dog (if I say so myself).

Family, friends and even strangers think I’m pretty special …even doing the simplest things – sit, come, down and place.  But then they’re amazed when they see me do the tricks Nick taught me… sit pretty, march, bark on command, bounce, high-five and place on the fire hydrant.

We live in a neighborhood without fences, they used “yard” to tell me I couldn’t go any farther… in a very short time I learned the borders of my backyard.

You actually may have saved my life…one day Mary and I were in the front yard and a squirrel ran across the road…well natural instincts kicked in and I started running really fast to chase the squirrel.  Then I heard Mary tell me to SIT …. training took over, my butt was on the ground so fast it surprised even me …so I didn’t run out into the road.

Mary and I go on the best walks….she let’s me do “Let’s go” so I can roam within about 20-30 feet of her and check out every mailbox, shrub or any other interesting thing…its GREAT fun!  But when a car is coming or an unfamiliar dog approaches, she makes me safe with a “come/sit” or “walk” so I’m right next to her.

And I love going to group classes, where I can practice and learn new things with all my buddies.  I can’t thank you enough for giving Dave and Mary the information they needed to make my life WONDERFUL!!!!
