Dog: Moses
Breed: Terrier/Maltese mix
We came to Sit Means Sit when our dog Moses was 4 months old and chose to have him work directly with Ryan for a couple weeks at his location. Moses was not listening to anything, ran around our house wild and would not stay in place. When he came back from training he was a new dog, one that we love to have around because the training and the collar helped us to get his attention when we need to. He is only 5lbs and can wear the collar just fine. Great experience for us and worth the investment.

My name is Aimee and I live in Cashton, WI. I have an energetic border collie that I love and have been able to keep because with your training and Sit-means-sit collar she no longer chases cars. She is very smart and loves to learn new things which are very easy to teach with the collar.

Dog: Reuben
Breed: Lab/Pitbull mix
My wife and I decided to get a puppy. We got our dog Reuben when he was about 3 months old. He was the perfect puppy. Seemed smart and easy to train. Then, something happened. When he hit 8 months, he started to do all of the naughty things puppies do. Chewing, digging, jumping on people, and was very disobedient. The biggest issue for us was the jumping and his lack of self control in new and exciting situations. We tried a few suggested methods from other dog owners. Nothing worked. We had to do something. A friend of ours suggested ‘Sit means sit’ and told us Ryan worked with their dog. We took their advice and scheduled the free demo. I couldn’t believe what Ryan did with Reuben in just 10 minutes! He went from pulling every which way on the leash to watching us, letting us lead and wasn’t pulling. We decided to let Ryan take Reuben for a 2 week board and train. Fast forward 2 weeks and the change in Reuben was like night and day! Reuben stopped jumping on people and listens to our commands. He can focus on us during exciting situations, like raccoons in the backyard. We could tell he wanted to chase them but we called him away and he came. Without hesitation. Reuben is an all around better dog now after working with Ryan. It’s like Ryan taught him how to control himself and his energy. We are very happy with our decision to bring Reuben to Sit Means Sit. Thanks Ryan!
Name: Amber, Alex
Dog Name: Chief
Breed: Rottweiler
Describe your dog’s behavior before he/she came to Sit Means Sit.
Chief was a little “biting monster.” He was starting to show signs of food/water aggression. Chief also was not listening to either one of us.
What activities can you do now with your dog that you couldn’t before?
Chief is able to do a lot of tricks. He catches on very fast, and listens so well.
How has your home life changed due to training?
It’s been great! Chief is not a “biting monster” anymore. We are able to be around Chief and pet him without him biting us or growling.
How has your relationship with your dog changed since training started?
It was great when we first got him. When he started showing signs of aggression we felt disappointed. We felt as if we did something wrong. After going through the Sit Means Sit training with Ryan, he gave us an understanding of why these things were happening.
Would you recommend training with Sit Means Sit?
Yes Definitely! We do all the time. We feel that there is not anyone else that could have done what Ryan did.

I had taken my choc lab to a few different trainings over the course of a couple years not getting results I hoped for. One of them being a well known name & radio show. The time & money was wasted. In the meantime she learned another bad habit at one of the trainings from a dog. Great, another problem to fix. I also invested in a remote collar from a store which I thought was the last resort. I was terrified of the collar so I can imagine what Bella was feeling. I felt horrible & was doing Bella a terrible disservice as a pet owner. I thought I would always have a misbehaved dog because I was out of options. Thankfully, I happened across Sit Means Sit. I called Ryan, met with him & in a matter of a few minutes I was smiling, thinking there was hope for us both. My main concern was not breaking Bella’s spirit, even though it was on the high maintenance side. Bella does tricks which is icing on the cake. But to say that I don’t have to worry about her being safe when she is outside with us, or knocking Grama over when she comes to visit is short of amazing. I thought I’d never be able to say I taught her (with Ryan’s Sit Means Sit help) all she knows & continues to learn. And Bella, well she still has a high spirit. It’s just put to use in a more positive way!

Just completed level 3 a little over a week ago. Nothing but great comments from friends and people at the dog park. They say Bandit is one of the most well behaved dogs they have ever seen. He responds to commands immediately and is very trustworthy on his own. Thanks to the training at Sit Means Sit, he is a great companion and friend and I am extremely proud to introduce him to other friends and dogs.
