First Annual Pugs & Pooches WinterBark 2009 Event sponsored by
Compassionate Pug Rescue.
Did you know that on average 75,514 animals were euthanized in Palm Beach,
Broward, and Miami Dade counties last year? Did you know that close to 73%
of those animals were perfectly healthy and were euthanized due to over
population and space issues? Although animal cruelty, neglect, and strays
are a national problem I am sad to admit that our counties are on the top
of the list. Those are very grim statistics and ones that we are not
willing to be a part of.
As a nonprofit 100% volunteer organization with a limited budget, CPR is
frequently challenged by the cost of providing medical care for the sick,
injured and special-needs dogs that arrive on our doorstep every day. CPR
receives no government funding and relies solely on donations to operate
the rescue, provide medical care for our animals, and educate the
community. While we hope every animal who comes to us finds a new home as
quickly as possible, there is no limit on the amount of time an animal may
stay with CPR regardless of age or condition.
No donation is too small, anything will help, we spend on average $410 on
our healthy dogs testing them for heartworm, vaccines, spay/neuter etc.
100% of your donation will go directly and immediately to help one of our
dogs, take a look at our rescue stories at the end of this offering and
see what your donation can do to help.
