The SMS Pueblo Trainers have come up with this new idea to keep our clients Motivated to further along their dogs in training. You will always here from us that training is ongoing and continuous. Below is a list of the tests that our clients can choose to attempt to get a picture of their dog up on our Veterans Wall at our training facility. They pass a test, they get a sticker for that test to put on their dogs picture which is up on the wall. Call us to start today and get your dogs picture on the wall.

Veterans Test

(Test Descriptions)

All Tests Have 2 minute Time limit & must be done OFF LEASH.

Distance Test

-Place dog, walk to other place board leaving dog. Call dog to you and place on board. Leave dog go to other place, call dog to you and stop dog on placeboard in the middle of the 2 places.

Heel Test

-Start on place, heel dog through cones keeping dog in heel position. Circle 2 placed dogs with out letting your dog sniff the placed dog. If your dog does, you must re-circle that placed dog.

Distraction Test: (2 errors allowed)

-Place dog in down position, handler 10ft away.  3 types of distraction, 2 attempts each. 2 toys, 2 noises, 2 dogs chasing a toy.

Place Test

-Small placeboard, large placeboard, half kennel, can, chair, small spool, Bonus-Wagon. Butt has to hit place, move on to next item at trainers cue.

Command Test

-Come, sit, place, heel, down. Can be done in any order. Move on to next command at trainers cue.

Obstacle Test

-Place dog, go to end of course. Call dog over a jump, then through the tunnel. Place dog after tunnel and perform 3 doggy push-ups. Trainers cue to move to next push-up.
