Welcome to Sit Means Sit Dog Training Salt Lake City, where we provide professional dog obedience and behavioral training in Salt Lake, Utah, Summit and Davis counties. We make it possible to put fun and enjoyment into your relationship with your dog while gaining more control and enjoying more freedom. Our training method works with any dog, young or old, and will increase your ability to effectively communicate and control your dog whether you’re training a new puppy, improving your dogs’ performance, or solving problems. You will be surprised at how quickly your dog understands commands even under the most challenging conditions. Sit Means Sit owner, Jon Cain, is a certified e-collar
specialist who has the ability to quickly recognize and articulate issues between dogs and handlers. Since 1999, Jon has been a Canine Search Specialist with FEMA’s Utah Task Force One which was developed and organized to respond to national disasters searching for missing people. He is currently working on certifying his second FEMA search dog. His unit has been deployed numerous times in various situations, including going to Mississippi in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Jon is continually updating his training and handler skills by attending obedience, agility, and search and rescue training sessions throughout the country.
We offer private, in-home training, outdoor training, and unlimited lifetime group classes covering puppy management, socialization, obedience, troubleshooting and off-leash control with real world distractions.
