Up Comming Events.
On August 7th and 8th we will be attending the Dock Dogs Competition in Cheyenne Wyoming. The competitions are open to all that want to come out and give it a try. The dogs do not need to be pros in order to compete. It’s a great way to get out and have some fun with your dog. If you don’t feel like bringing your dog out, we would still love to see you come out to cheer Jet and Remy on.
Here is a little clip of Remy’s last jump in Vail.

Remy’s World Record Jump
We had a-lot of fun jumping in Dockdogs at the 2010 Denver International Sportsman’s Expo. Sit Means Sit dog training had a both located right next to the Dockdogs dock. We were jumping and doing demonstrations all weekend long. Remy had his best weekend ever! He jumped 27′ three times in a row. In practice he actually jumped 27′ 9″. It’s too bad practice jumps don’t count! That’s OK, because with all that Remy still set the new Dockdogs indoor world record with a jump of 27′ 4″!!!
Check out the video!
St. Louis DockDogs Competition.
We had a great time at the DockDogs event in St. Louis this last weekend. This was one of the most competitive and biggest DockDogs event I have ever been to. Despite all the competition both Remy and Jet did very well. Both of them set personal bests in Speed Retrieve and Jet set his personal best in Big Air. I will put a video up shortly so everyone can see all the fun we had.
Remy took 1st overall in Big Air and 3rd in Iron Dog, Speed Retrieve, and Extreme Vertical.
Jet took 4th in every event.
Remy Sets a New World Record!!!!
We had a blast at the 2010 Denver International Sportsman’s Expo! With our booth at the show and DockDogs right next to us who couldn’t have a good time? Remy and Jet jumped all weekend long and had a blast. They both did very well in the competition, in fact Remy set a new indoor world record for Big Air. He jumped an amazing 27 FEET 4 INCHES!!! I will soon post the video of just Remy’s jump, but until then here is a video of Remy and Jet jumping. This video does include a clip of Remy’s world record jump as well as much much more.
Mark your Calendars!!!
Mark your calendars for January 7 – 10. Group classes will be canceled these days. All the local Sit Means Sit trainers will be attending the International Sportsman’s Expo at the Colorado Convention Center. We will be there showing off our dogs and having a good time. Dock Dogs will be there and, of course, we will be competing. Both Remy and Jet are big jumping dogs, both with a personal best well over the 22 foot mark, so it should be a great event. If any of you think your dogs have what it takes don’t be afraid to give it a shot. The competition is open to anyone that wants to try. Its more fun than you could ever imagine, for both you and your dog! We would love to see you there to compete your dogs or just to support us in the competition.
