He likes to play in the dewy morning grass, hiding, chasing empty milk cartons or a large broom. Otherwise, he likes to chew on everything and sit on or as close to me as possible in the car while we drive.

Oh, and since we are currently relegated to our backyard and house due to vaccination timing, he loves going to the vet where he gets to socialize! This week he met a sweet Great Dane puppy, who parents said he was usually a bit timid. Not with Ollie the lover boy, they hit it off!!!

Pet-Peeves: Ollie is not so fond of training thus far, but we’re just starting out. He does not like it when the ice cubes slide around in his water bowl when he is trying to lick at them 🙂 Why, well wouldn’t you?

Favorite Toy: The squeaky carrot, the squishy bone, the chewy pig ears, the empty gatorade bottle, the devil ball. Why he chews on them all of course!

Favorite Treat: An empty ice cream carton or left over soup broth.

Favorite Walk: Wish we we’re allowed to go on walks…total bummer right now. So we like to go other other pups and people’s homes that are ‘safe’…and to the vet as mentioned.

Best Trick: We will keep you posted on that one.

Arrival Story: I recently lost my cat of ~18+ years. The loss is beyond devastating, but an opportunity….

I went to the Humane Society over Labor Day weekend. Another couple had a hold on Ollie (then Darby), but when they passed him to me to play and saw us together, it was obvoius to all Ollie and I are meant to be together.

Why Training / Sit Means Sit: A smart and especially energetic breed likes to be challenged, in my opinion. An obedient dog is a respected and welcome dog. I plan to train Ollie because I love him, want to be his best friend and keep him mentally stimulated. I do not want a spastic, ill-mannered pooch. SMS?…the program’s approach makes a lot of sense to me.

Motto: I am lover, not a fighter.

Client’s Name: Carolyn Dog’s Name: “Ollie” City: Austin, TX 78731 Breed: Lab / Collie Mix Pound Puppy Likes: Ollie likes to stretch and take his time waking up, like his Mom.
