Favorite Toy:<\/strong> Stuffed animals. He loves to pull the stuffing out. He also loves trying to get treats out of his Kong.<\/p>\n Favorite Treat: <\/strong>Rawhides, peanut butter, milk bones. Anything he can eat.<\/p>\n Favorite Walk: <\/strong>He gets excited when we walk toward Grand Avenue Parkway because he knows there’s a good chance we will start a run; either that or go to the gas station for ice cream.<\/p>\n Best Trick: <\/strong>If I let his leash drag, he’ll pick it up and carry it. He’s also good at following me through the playscape obstacles in the park.<\/p>\n Arrival Story:<\/strong> When I first saw him on the adoption webpage for the Pflugerville Animal Shelter, I didn’t have the time to spend with him. Summer is the busiest time for me at work. But over a month had past and he was still there so I went to visit him. I could see why he was still there. Even though he was just a puppy, he was a goofy 65 lb puppy, and overwhelming (probably from being caged up for 2 months). Well, I said if he was still there when I got back from my trip, I’d come get him. I love big dogs and he is such a good looking dog and he had a good heart. I have come to realize how smart and affectionate he is.<\/p>\n Why Training \/ Sit Means Sit:<\/strong> Kobi is very smart, cunning, and strong-willed. I’ve trained two wonderful labs without trouble but Kobi is a different breed and I need help. He loves to protect me and gets scary around strangers (even kids) and other dogs. I want to take him with me everywhere (rock climbing, hiking, road trips, and work). He needs to learn social skills and I’m not sure how to safely develop those. Secondly, he has quickly learned many commands but often times chooses not to obey. Sit Means Sit seems to address all the problems I have faced so far with Kobi and I like the idea of unlimited classes; especially since I have no idea how many he’s going to need to be completely manageable. I’m sure Sit Means Sit will also help me bring out Kobi’s natural athleticism and ability to do tricks too.<\/p>\n Motto: <\/strong>Two handfuls. (But I wouldn’t want any other dog.
