Car rides are fun, and so is swimming in any other body of water, except: the bath tub. Also: dissecting toys with stuffing, squeekies, eyes, ears, noses and other body parts she can remove.”

Pet-Peeves: “Getting a hair cut – the first groomer was not very nice – now Charlos hates blowdryers, grooming tools etc.”

Favorite Toy: “Of the toys that lasted: Foxy the stuffing-less toy is great, as are squeeky tennis balls for fetching. Charlos prefers any toy she can tear up: tug toys with rope, things with stuffing and squeekies, the best was “Beaver” the 16 squeeky stuffed toy, it lasted only 4 minutes before the first squeeker was out and he had to be retired.”

Favorite Treat: Milk bones and real cow bones from the butcher at Whole Foods

Favorite Walk: Anywhere with a patch of grass and a body of water will do, we are new to Austin so still exploring, so far we are pretty crazy about public boat ramps for ball fetching.

Best Trick: “The “Pretty Rabbit” which is sitting up like a rabbit with front paws up in the air.”

Arrival Story: “Mark’s daughter got her from a breeder and couldn’t keep her, so she is a family heirloom – and we were ready and looking for a labradoodle at that time!”

Why Training / Sit Means Sit: “Charlos has been the best puppy, but as she is becoming a teenager is experimenting with not listening anymore / or coming when called, especially outside, pretty dangerous off leash… Mark saw a demo at the Home Show and liked how well Joson behaves, so now Charlos is going to learn how to become a Good Canine Citizen too!”

Motto: “Goofy! She is super-sweet natured, adorable and goofy.”

Client’s Name: Audrey and Mark Dog’s Name: “Charlos” City: Austin, TX Breed: Labradoodle Likes: “Sleeping is pretty big for Charlos, with all 4’s up in the air ha ha!
