Likes:<\/strong> He wants to go walking, swimming. He likes hunting for small lizards. He likes to get other dogs to chase him.<\/p>\n

Pet-Peeves:<\/strong> He chases neighborhood cats if he is out in the front yard. He is the only pet I have. He does not like being alone. Sometimes when I let him out to go potty he will just sit outside by the door until I go out.<\/p>\n

Favorite Treat: <\/strong>He loves the meat flavored rawhide bones, dental bones, chicken flavored treats and peanut butter.<\/p>\n

Favorite Toy:<\/strong> He likes the rope type tug and throw toys.<\/p>\n

Favorite Walk: <\/strong>We frequently hike at St. Edwards Park, Turkey Creek Park and Red Bud Island and do a little swimming at the same time.<\/p>\n

Best Trick: <\/strong>He knows the basic commands. I can give him a verbal and hand que to get him to jump in the bathtub for his bath. He doesn’t know any tricks but is a very quick learner.<\/p>\n

Arrival Story:<\/strong> I got him from the Townlake Animal Shelter.\u00a0 I had visited him 3 times and played in the exercise areas. His spots reminded me of an earlier family dog. I had wanted a hound type dog and his ears had that type of look.<\/p>\n

Why Training \/ Sit Means Sit:<\/strong> He has an issue with other male dogs. I try to get him to socialize around more dogs but it doesn’t seem to change his demeanor. He gets in an aggressive mode with too many dogs in one spot or when he and another dog are near me. I have tried other trainers but results have varied or gotten worse.<\/p>\n
