She especially enjoys trips to Sonic after her walk for her own cup of water and a dog biscuit. She loves cuddling and spending time with her Momma. Bird-watching (watching and then chasing) is also a favorite.

Pet-Peeves:Trixie is easily annoyed by fast moving bikes/cars and skateboards during walks. She gets upset because they are not “with the pack” and she tries to herd them. She also does not enjoy having her paw dipped in paint….Momma tries to be creative with Christmas cards and that’s not quite her cup of tea.

Favorite Toy:Squeaky pig or bone

Favorite Treat: A Kong of peanut butter….apples, bananas and pretty much anything as she is very food-driven. So far the only things she won’t eat are lettuce and raw carrots.

Favorite Walk: Our neighborhood or Dick Nichols Park

Best Trick: “Pretty sit” (beg), shake, and “round” (turning a circle)

Arrival Story: I totally was not planning on getting a dog…I wanted one so bad, but did not think I could afford the cost. I was oogling cute puppies outside of Petco (from CNC Rescue). I figured if I couldn’t have a dog, I might as well at least pet some cute puppies. The minute I laid eyes on her, I knew we were meant for each other. A financial advisor would tell me the adoption fee/pet deposit was more than I should’ve spent – but I say it was the BEST money I ever spent! I found my best friend! And Trixie found her forever home!

Why Training / Sit Means Sit:Trixie is a very smart dog – she just has some herding/barking instincts that make it very difficult to walk her in an area with lots of distractions. We saw Sit Means Sit at Dick Nichols Park while we were on a Saturday afternoon walk. I was very impressed with how the dogs remained still and on their spots – even with all the people at the park, and even when Trix walked up to one of them.

Motto: “Protect and Please Momma” – Trixie is the friendliest, sweetest dog you will ever meet…not aggressive in the least. But she is very protective of me – she watches every move I make and expresses concern if I walk around the corner. She is so eager to please and be with me.

[singlepic=175,300,,,right] Client’s Name: Candace Dog’s Name: “Trixie Belle” City: Austin, TX 78749 Breed: German Shepherd/Red Heeler mix Likes:Trixie likes anything involving eating.
