Everyone has requirements when it comes to dogs, and every preference has a backstory. In this case, if you have a little less time on your hands that\u2019s fine. Just because you have a busy schedule doesn\u2019t mean you can\u2019t have a dog. There are plenty of dogs out there that fit your bill. We\u2019ve ranked the top 3 dogs that are, in our opinion, the lowest maintenance. <\/span><\/p>\n

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel<\/h2>\n

Firstly, we <\/span>have<\/span><\/i> to mention how sweet these dogs are. They are loving, playful, and fairly easygoing, so you’re guaranteed to get a companion. But did you know that they are extremely hypoallergenic? They\u2019ve got silky, medium-length coats that hardly shed. The only real maintenance that you have to do is brushing, but you only have to do it once a week to prevent any painful matting. We recommend that you bathe them at least every six weeks to maintain a healthy coat, but if you prefer to bathe them more frequently than once a week is fine. Italian Greyhounds<\/h2>\n

Italian Greyhounds are also very sweet and compassionate, but they can be shy and a little stubborn. If you pick this breed, make sure that you\u2019re patient with them. They\u2019re a little more sensitive, so negative reinforcement might make them more reserved. Since low maintenance is the goal, these hound dogs are perfect. They have really short, really thin coats that require little attention. They only need to be bathed every couple of months, but you <\/span>do <\/span><\/i>have to pay attention to their teeth and nails. Italian Greyhounds are more likely to have dental problems than other dogs, so be sure to brush them at least 3 times a week. <\/span>The Italian Greyhound Club of America<\/span><\/a> recommends you alternate brushing with <\/span>MaxiGuard<\/span><\/a> and an oral solution like <\/span>Enzadent<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Miniature Pinscher<\/b><\/h2>\n

Min Pins are a lot prouder and bolder than either of the above breeds. They take charge and are super sure of themselves, but that doesn\u2019t mean they\u2019re distant. They make great companions and form deep connections. Because of how confident they are, you have to make sure you\u2019re a little more assertive when you train them. Let them know that you\u2019re in charge. Grooming-wise, you don\u2019t really have to do more than the minimum. Brush them out every couple of days to minimize shedding, and bathe them every couple of months. Otherwise, keep in mind that there is A LOT of energy stuffed to the brim of this tiny package, so be ready to give them plenty of exercise.<\/span><\/p>\n
