One thing many people don’t know is you need to slowly transition your dog from one type of the food to the next. Switching from one food to another introduces a different level of fat, protein, and carbs to their GI system. Instead of dealing with vomiting or diarrhea because of a significant switch to your pups diet, switch the food slowly!<\/p>\n
Plan out the next 7-10 days and each day mixx slightly more of the new food in with the old.<\/p>\n
You may be thinking your dog has a strong stomach and doesn’t need a slow transition period. Some pets tolerate abrupt food changes well without as much as a burp. Other dogs, can have stomach issues that will put you through cleaning vomit or diarrhea. For your dog’s sake, as well as your own, it is best to take it slow.<\/p>\n
