Many people like to feed their dogs from the table and give them food that people eat. While this is fine for the most part, we do need to be aware of certain foods that can not only make your dog sick but could be deadly for them. Dr. Jessica Oliver, DVM, from North Lake Veterinary Clinic provided us with a list of some of these foods.<\/p>\n
Avoid giving your dogs the following foods:<\/p>\n
Chocolate<\/p>\n
Alcohol<\/p>\n
Grapes\/raisins<\/p>\n
Macadamia Nuts<\/p>\n
Avocado<\/p>\n
Xylitol artificial sweetener (found is some sugar free gums)<\/p>\n
Yeast dough<\/p>\n
Garlic\/Onion<\/p>\n
Moldy foods<\/p>\n
Fatty trimmings and grease<\/p>\n
Always be sure to keep an eye on what you are feeding your dogs. If \u00a0you are at all unsure whether it might make them sick, DON’T GIVE IT TO THEM! Do some research first and determine whether it will cause harm. Take a little more time to ensure that our furry friends remain healthy.<\/p>\n
