Facility Trainer

You must:
– have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
– be available Monday through Saturday
– be able to lift up to 40 lbs
– be able to work in loud environments
– be able to be on your feet the majority of your shift
– be able to be outside during inclement weather

Applicants must be available Monday through Friday during traditional business hours, 15-20 hours a week

We are looking for a motivated, task-oriented (dog loving) individual to join our team of amazing trainers.

Dog training is not for everyone. You must be patient, willing to learn, love dogs and be self-motivated. Each day you will be challenged by a different dog. Each day you will work on new skills. Each day you must be willing to clean up pee and poop. Each day you will learn and grow. The job itself is very self-rewarding when you have an active hand in changing the life of a dog and its owner.

You must be willing to show up for work and be an active part of our awesome, dynamic, and collaborative culture – this job is not for the individual who wants to call off or be a wallflower. You must be ready to own your impact every day!

Applicants should have prior work experience, but no prior dog training experience is necessary. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be well disciplined in time management. You must be able to work independently but also take direction from senior staff.

Daily responsibilities may include direct handling of dogs, communication with dog owners and other staff, creating video training logs, field trips, cleaning, customer service, events, inventory of training supplies, among other tasks.
