It’s easy to create a plan, but the key is to stick with it. Making a last-minute decision could put you and your furry companion in danger. Your plan should include how long you intend to stay in your home before evacuating. If you are ordered to evacuate, do it immediately!<\/p>\n
Before a storm, create a pet emergency kit that includes everything your pet will need to ride out the storm either in your home or in an evacuation shelter. Pack enough food and water to last your dog at least three days, along with a favorite toy.<\/p>\n
