How much does your training cost?

Our training programs vary considerably from dog to dog and depending on your training goals. They vary both in the structure and layout of our programs as well as in the cost and duration of the training. Each of our training programs are custom tailored to the specific situation. There are a number of factors that we evaluate prior to building a training package for you such as your dog’s age, temperament, previous training, and your desired results. What will work for one dog and owner won’t necessarily fit well with another. Because of these factors, we offer a free consultation as an opportunity to meet with you and your dog to gain insight into the unique circumstances that affect your dog’s training.

Why is a consultation necessary?

Every dog’s needs, learning style, and personality is different, and every owner has different goals for their dog. Before purchasing a training package with us, we schedule you a free consultation where we will be able to assess your dog in person at our 6000 sqft training facility around safe and controlled distractions. Then we sit down with you to learn more about your lifestyle and desired results with training. This is how we will determine which package of ours will be best suited for your needs and goals. We will also help you set realistic goals for your individual dog based on what we see during the assessment.
This free consultation takes an average of 45 minutes where we will devise a personalized training plan that best fits your dog’s and family’s individual needs. Once a package is determined, our professionals will be able to quote you and accurate price for a program that will
Keep in mind that training a dog can’t be approached with the mentality that if you train them once, they are trained for life. Training your dog is a lifelong commitment that requires reinforcement and reward. We will teach you the skills you need to keep your dog’s training sharp for life. Training should be a one time investment that lasts for your dog’s entire life.

What type of training methods do you use?

We use an integrative approach in our training methods. All of our programs include our patented Sit Means Sit Training Collar in which our professional trainers will safely and effectively teach your dog how to redirect their attention back to you in any scenario. We combine this method with various types of rewards, leashes, and other tools that are suitable to your dog’s individual needs. Our training system gives you the ability to allow your dog freedom while still being able to reinforce their manners and obedience from any distance, in any environment.

What qualifications do your trainers have?

While dog training does not legally require any form of licensing, certifications, or training, we pride ourselves on having both long time experienced trainers while also staying up to date with new training techniques. All of our management has been certified personally by Sit Means Sit’s CEO and founder, Fred Hassen, through the Sit Means Sit School for Remote Collar Training. Many of our staff members are also Pet Tech CPR certified. Our network of trainers throughout our franchise allows us to have no limitations to knowledge, experience, and continual education.

Does my dog always have to wear the collar?

Your trainers will help you determine what is best for your individual dog. Our patented training collar system allows you to safely grab your dog’s attention during high and low distractions. It allows you to reinforce their training all while allowing them the freedom to just be dogs, explore, socialize, and prove their ability to make good decisions on their own.
