Sit Means Sit is an attention-based obedience training system that breaks the dog training process into tiny micro-steps, helping dogs master each step faster. By combining this with our one-on-one day-long sessions, we can create fun-filled days with massive transformation in an impossibly short time. Then, with our follow-up group classes, we help you lock those changes in for a lifetime. We want our clients to be able to enjoy life with their dogs, from sitting at a restaurant patio with their dog at their feet, to going on hikes with them. Our mission is to revolutionize the quality of life with happy, obedient, and confident dogs. Start training today!
While classes offered will vary by Sit Means Sit location, here are the classes generally offered. Talk to your location to find out which one is right for you. All of our locations cover basic obedience class commands but with an emphasis on mastery. We work with everything from your fully vaccinated puppy to the adult dog with well-established behavior problems such as jumping, leash pulling, reactivity, and aggression.
Our day training sessions are ideal for the family member who wants to be involved in the dog training process. The dog is dropped off at the start of the day and enjoys a full day of fun, play, and private training sessions. In the evening, our staff works with you to make sure you understand the new commands. This allows both you and your dog to master the new communication method quickly without the intensity of spending all day at our facility as private lessons would require.
The board and training sessions are often enjoyed by many dog owners who are traveling and who want to come home to a transformed dog. Additionally, since these classes are back-to-back, day after day, it creates an opportunity for rapid transformation. All of our training is designed to help your dog master loose-leash walking and off-leash obedience and provides you with new tools for overcoming the most common problems.
Training requires reinforcement to keep their new skills at the top of their mind. These training sessions are fun socialization events that give you a chance to work out any continuing niggles your dog might struggle with and to help the owner and dog fully master their system to master their good behavior and make it a lifelong habit.
