About Sit Means Sit Dog Training

Dog Training Classes

Any Dog Any Age Any Problem

Day Training “Fast and the Furriest”

At Sit Means Sit, we’re no strangers to being busy. We know that it can be hard, impossible even, to properly prioritize your dog’s training. That’s why we’ve created a solution for all the busy pet parents out there.

The Day Training Program, which we also like to call the “Fast and the Furriest” Program, is perfect for owners who want to be there for their pet but who can’t commit the time and/or energy to something as involved as private lessons.

Our trainers keep you updated and confident in your abilities to lead your dog by providing one-on-one sessions at the end of each day of training.

Puppy Training Classes

Puppies are wonderful additions to the family, but they come with a lot of responsibility. One of those responsibilities is making sure that your pup is prepared to take on the world and navigate all the challenges that come with growing up. We’re here to help you make the most of your puppy’s early life by training basic commands through proven techniques and positive reinforcement.

The first sixteen weeks of a dog’s life are crucial to their development. That’s the time they’re constantly learning and developing habits. You want to make sure the right habits are being developed. Age-appropriate classes are perfect for ensuring your puppy gets started off on the right paw by discouraging bad behaviors and encouraging good ones.

Group Classes

Our Group Classes are exclusive to our clients who have graduated from either the Day Training or Board and Train Program. This creates an environment where you and your dog can meet others who are interested in training, and it’s a comfortable way to fine-tune and continue your own training.

Group Classes are a great way to strengthen training through real-world scenarios. We want you both to be prepared for anything that will come your way, whether that’s unfamiliar people, new dogs, or other severe distractions. Because of our methods, your dog’s training will endure any scenario life throws at them.

No matter what training goals you want to achieve, Sit Means Sit is here to help. We are proud to foster improved relationships and fulfilled lives.

Board and Train “Boot’s Camp”

Some pet parents, unfortunately, find themselves struggling with negative (and severe) behaviors such as aggression, potty training problems, or bad manners. On top of not knowing what to do to correct these issues, many dog owners don’t have the necessary time to devote to such an undertaking. If that’s you, there’s no need to worry! We offer the Board and Train Program (AKA “Boot Camp”) for busy pet owners, people heading out of town, and those who want quick and long-lasting results.

Kayla Beckett
Kayla is a graduate from Newark High School. She is an animal lover…(especially dogs!) They have always been a big part of her heart. She is a beautiful singer and enjoys reading in her spare time.
Kayla’s long term goals fit in perfectly with our mission. She wants to partner with local rescues/shelters, training dogs to have a better chance with adoption and happier lives overall. What has been the most meaningful experience for her during her apprenticeship? Kayla says it’s the feeling she gets when she sees the impact of our training come to life for the dogs and families we touch every day. (She was a client herself before joining our team)
We believe everything happens for a reason. And Kayla came to us at the very best time as our business continues to thrive and grow. Welcome Kayla! We are so thankful our paths came together when they did!! ❤️🐾

We consulted with a few trainers in the area and Rick and Erica were the best fit. They were able to answer all of our questions and even gave us a few suggestions before we got started. We did the “Fast and the Furriest” three day training. Rocco has been so much better since going…

I literally can’t get over how much little Sheldon learned just after day 1. I can’t wait to see how well he is after we are finished with the program. Definitely worth every penny
