I just finished training for my 1-year-old Mini Bernedoodle at this location and cannot recommend it enough! The process seems intimidating at first, but it was quite the opposite. Adam was extremely helpful at keeping me informed and educated on how the training process works, the steps I need to take to ensure it sticks, and my dog loved him! I came in hoping my dog would be better walking on a leash (she pulled A LOT before). After a few trainings and the knowledge and tools that Adam sent me home with, I am beyond satisfied with not only walking my dog, but her behavior at home, as well. No more jumping on people, no more yanking on the leash, and she can sit and stay in a calm manner! You can tell he truly cares about the dogs and their owners and wants to ensure that the training is happily received by everyone! I walked out of their after the final training saying “this has changed my life” because it really has!
If you are looking for speciality training, a well-mannered dog, or a trainer that you can trust this is definitely the place for you. It works and I felt very informed and trusted the process immensely.
The best staff and very hands on! They leave the best impact on the owner and dog!
Adam & Tess are great people & love your dogs. More than that Adam is an amazing trainer… In only 3 sessions, he has trained Katie to do thIngs that I never thought possible..He has also trained me on how use the same tools he uses so I can be successful in continuing her good behavior. Katie is a joy at home and out now with her good manners. Thank you so very much Adam!!
If you want a well mannered loving dog…run don’t walk to Sit means Sit. I wish I had found them sooner rather than later. It would have saved me months of frustration.
Adam and Tess were great to work with. He really helped us with two rescue dogs with “issues” by building up their confidence all while training them to place, sit, etc. Adam was very generous with his time to make sure all of my family members bought in and showed all of us how to continue the training. I really appreciate him taking the dogs to Home Depot, Lowe’s, Bass Pro Shops, etc. He even got pictures with Santa!
Good people, good results!
Writing up an overdue thank you and the highest of satisfaction review for the Sit Means Sit team in Northwest Arkansas
We brought Adam and team a very energetic and undisciplined Boxer pup of 9 months for a two week board and training program. If anyone is on the fence about whether it’s the right investment of time and money, I can assure you it is.
After 1 week, people were commenting that my daughters Boxer Milo was a completely different dog, which he was…but was not where Adam wanted him. During the initial interview and train the trainer sessions, Adam was very transparent about Boxers as a breed and Milo in particular being stubborn and a bit challenging in his training. After the second week of training, Adam brought back a fully trained 50 lb bundle of Boxer energy….what a difference from where he started!!I can say that Milo is now a part of the family, able to be around the house and interact socially with other people and other dogs . Walks and hikes on and off leash are now enjoyable for him and us…and Sit really does mean Sit!!
Great job Adam and the Sit Means Sit team of NWA…a small investment for a lifetime of quality companionship!!

Would definitely recommend!
My puppy Charlie has struggled with severe separation anxiety since I’ve had him. I had tried every “solution” that the Internet recommended, talked to multiple trainers in the area, and even had to look into getting him on medication.
I discovered Sit means Sit, and based on reviews, I knew that they were a great company for training dogs, but I wasn’t completely sure whether or not it would help Charlie with his separation anxiety.
Boy was I wrong!
After the 10 day immersion program with Adam, I could tell that Charlie developed much more confidence in himself. He is now able to explore without me being right beside him, he has far less panic attacks when I leave the house, and most importantly, he follows commands.
We brought our four-month-old puppy to sit means sit for a two week immersive training, Adam is amazing. He completely changed our dog into the most wonderful, well behaved dog from a horrible rambunctious puppy. I never imagined that Such a dramatic change could happen in two weeks. We highly highly recommend Adam and Tess at Sit Means Sit.
Highly recommend!
I needed help with my dog Hazel, she’s smart and strong spirited but stubborn to get her own way. Hazel would jump on people, she would lose focus and follow anything (a bug, food, kids, etc). She wouldn’t sit or stay. She also struggled with separation anxiety.Adam and Mackenzie do amazing work. The first day I walked in I was fighting back tears of joy at the incredible job in just 1 day. They taught her how to focus and taught me the skills to help her focus so I can be a better pet owner for my wonderful companion. Everyone in our life has been in awe at the “new” dog Hazel has become and I haven’t stopped beaming with pride at her.
It has been worth every penny and more to take down the baby gates, have her remain calm around my grandchildren and behave while I’m at work.
A million thank yous and more for all the incredible knowledge and support you have given to me and Hazel ❤️
Adam is an amazing trainer. When I got my cocker spaniel Nixie, she was starting to show signs of possible aggression. After researching for trainers that helped with aggression, I stumbled upon Sit Means Sit. I am so glad that I did. Adam is very thorough with the training. Nixie now shows no signs of aggression, thanks to Adam.
Sit means Sit took excellent care of our pomeranian puppy. Mouse used to be high energy high impulse and struggled with staying focused for basic obedience commands. She now listens so well and is excited to work on her commands and sit in her place. Definitely recommend Sit means Sit dog training.
Awesome trainers! They did amazing work on my akita and she went from super exiting and wild to tame and calm. Even after the first class she had with them she was un recognizable from how much she had learned and what she knew to do!
I cannot express how grateful I am for Adam’s exceptional dog training skills! Mabel, my beloved furry friend, has transformed into an obedient and well-behaved companion, all thanks to Adam’s expertise.
From the very first session, it was clear that Adam had an incredible connection with dogs. He tailored a training plan specifically for Mabel, taking into account her unique personality and needs. His patience and kindness were evident as he worked with her, and it’s truly heartwarming to see how much she adores him.
Under Adam’s guidance, Mabel has mastered commands I never thought she would, and her behavior at home and in public has improved dramatically. Adam not only taught Mabel, but he also taught me invaluable techniques and tips for maintaining her training.
Adam’s passion for dogs is infectious, and his dedication to their well-being is unmatched. If you’re searching for a dog trainer who genuinely cares about your furry family member, look no further than Adam. Mabel and I are forever thankful for the positive impact he’s had on our lives.
Thank you, Adam, for your exceptional work and for turning Mabel into the well-mannered and joyful dog she is today. We highly recommend Adam’s services to anyone in need of a skilled and compassionate dog trainer!
They are very good. I will always recommend sit means sit. They are friendly, knowledgable and go above and beyond!
They did a great job training my cocker spaniel. He walks great on the leash and has great manners!
“Unkie” Adam and his team are wonderfully dedicated and it shows! The work they do with the dogs and dog parents is great! It’s so much more than dog training.. We as pet parents have learned how to successfully train our dog at home using the skills Adam taught our puppy and ourselves and we look forward to upcoming drop in sessions!
Definitely 5 stars and worth every penny!!
When we picked up our new Golden Doodle puppy, Finney, we had no idea he was ADD. But why not, after all his human daddy is. After putting up with both of them for almost a year, his mama said “enough is enough, one of you has to go,” so daddy started a frantic search for trainers and was lucky enough to come up with Sit Means Sit.
Finney attended these dog whisperers’ two week boot camp and came back a different puppy! Actually, we think Adam may have switched dogs on us. In two short weeks, Finney was changed from a hyper, always wanting to play puppy who became really aggressive if you didn’t want to play at the same time he did, into an obedient, loveable little fluff ball. Finney came back to us as more than just a well-trained dog, he could probably teach the course himself. Simply amazing transformation.
We just loved everyone at SMS, not just because they were genuine people who wanted us and Finney to be happy with each other, but also because they obviously loved what they were doing, and the dogs loved them. Mama was really sad during the whole process being without her little puppy, but Tess was really good about keeping her up to date with Finney’s progress with pictures and report cards.
All in all, a great experience. Thank goodness we found SMS before I drop kicked Finney off the deck when he was in one of his ankle biting moods because I wouldn’t play ball with him!

Benecia was 19 months old and we had some reservations about where to take her for some obedience training due to her selective hearing, dragging either us when walking her on a leash and just a generally defiant attitude. I had my doubts as to whether or not anyone would be able to help or not. I was needing a can of paint from the auto parts store and when we pulled into the parking lot we saw the business next door as being a dog training place. When I got back in the car I said to my wife that we should go check it out so we did. We went in and since everyone was busy in the back we took a brochure and left. We set up the time for our consultation and we were impressed a bit immediately, but nothing in comparison to how we felt at the end of week one, we were practically speechless. All the things she could do was mind boggling. That was last week. Today was the last day of the 10 day plan that we opted for, and Benecia has her diploma and we have some peace of mind. The results they were able to achieve in only 10 visits is literally amazing. We have nothing but good to say about Adam, Tess and their team. We highly recommend.
Thanks to Adam and his kind and knowledgeable staff at Sit Means Sit Dog Training NW Arkansas, we had an excellent experience with our pup Lola. She learned all the important basic commands and has a good foundation to continue to learn and grow into the best companion we could hope for. Thank you training us to help her be the best she can be.
Thank you Adam – I was ready to give up on my rescue dog. I had her for six months and Adam was her 3rd trainer. Great job, Adam.
I am well pleased with the training and hoping to get myself trained also. We will be going back for a refresher in a month to make sure I am as well trained as Piper.
If you are looking for dog training, Adam is the person because his handling and training are wonderful. Piper went from attacking other dogs to calmly walking around them. She didn’t like men but loved Adam – I see great improvement.
I would recommend Adam and this program especially for any problems.
Sit Means Sit is a real game changer in yours and your dogs lives. The training they were able to instill in our boxers was truly amazing and the techniques that they taught us are incredibly easy to remember and reinforce with our dogs. I highly recommend Sit Means Sit and their incredible staff to anyone who wants their fury friends to become the best version of themselves!
When Scout started working with Adam she had NEVER let me(her aunt) touch her. The only interactions she did have with me were, to be frank, negative. In 3 short weeks, Adam and his team turned Scout into an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT DOG! She went from living in absolute fear for 3 years around anyone but her owners to being a confident happy girl that is excited to meet and play with everyone. Not only did Adam provide my sister and her husband the peace of mind that Scout can go anywhere with them safely but, he also gave Scout a new way of life that has given her so much happiness! You can see in the photo how happy she is knowing that her whole family loves her and supports her after graduation! Cannot thank Sit Means Sit enough!
It is a wonderful place for your dog to learn.. Adam is a dog whisperer, and worked miracles with my puppy. What a God send I found the school!
Mckenzie, Adam, and Victoria are amazing trainers! Not only do they work miracles but they also personalize everything based on your goals and your pets needs. Ares was a puller and didn’t know right from wrong but after attending the program he is the best boy ever thanks to them. It is so clear to see that they truly care! Highly recommend!
Did a great job really worked with us and put the effort into making our dog great
We checked out four training facilities and chose Sit Means Sit. So happy we did. They achieved results far exceeding our expectations. Tess, Adam, Mckenzie and staff gave us an incredibly well-mannered pup with no loss of personality. Seeing how happy and excited she was to go back to them for our parent training says more than we ever could. She could not wait to get back in the building and see them. McKenzie not only trained Scarlett, but did an outstanding job with us as parents.
Sit Means Sit is an exceptional facility. An
update on our dog Scarlett since her training. We are even more impressed after 3 weeks. Her growth in confidence and maturity is indescribable. She is such a joy to have and it is all because of Sit Means Sit training. We highly recommend enrolling your dog here.
We have a younger extremely stubborn giant dog (185lbs). They were able to achieve goals in two weeks, we never thought possible regardless of time.
We brought our 6 month old puppy Scout to the team at Sit Means Sit and could not be happier with the results. We have a well behaved young dog who is a pleasure to be with and all the goals we had for him and for us were achieved. We can highly recommend their services !
They worked wonders with our two rowdy cattle dogs! Can’t say enough good things about this place.
McKenzie is a great dog trainer! My boyfriend’s puppy was extremely difficult to control, and now we can take him out on walks and to public places and have little to no issues. They are so kind and helpful here.
We signed up for the 2 week immersion program with our rescue Giant Schnauzer, Lucie. She was and is a high energy, happy, go lucky, sweet pup. She came to us without any stuctured puppyhood She had already been in two homes. She was a year old when we adopted her.
Boundaries were a word she knew nothing about. Having always had males of this breed…We were not prepared for the ‘xtra, xtra ‘of the female of this breed.
After 2 weeks of training with McKenzie…Lucie is a different dog. She actually ‘gets’ how to be a socialized and focused dog. We still have our “xtra xtra’ moments…but McKenzie has helped us to better ‘speak Lucie’. Huge shout out to ‘Sit means Sit’ and trainer, McKenzie. Looking to continue the training for Lucie and get her canine good citizen
at Sit Means Sit. McKenzie will be forever our favorite person. Today we met at lake Atalanta to see where we were in OUR training. Lucie did great WE needed some fine tuning, LOL. So great to have a dog whisperer just a phone call away!
Looking into providing my Mini Labradoodle “Annie” with professional traing to enhance our timed in public!
We were amazed, week after week, how much our pups were learning and how well behaved they are. Just five minutes into their first training and they were catching on to commands. We are thankful to Adam and his team for their hard work with our dogs and for teaching our family. 10/10 recommend!
Professional and patient. Our dog is now well behaved. Victoria did a fine job with our dog. Loving yet firm. Great job. Would highly recommend this company.
Great staff and great results! They took great care of our dog during her 2 week board and train and we couldn’t have been happier. Thanks McKenzie for all your help and extra lovings for Rosie!
McKenzie and Victoria did an excellent job with our 3 year old brother and sister Australian Shepherds!
They worked with us as a family and guided us step-by-step. We did the 10 day boarding immersion program, and our Aussies are much better behaved.
We whole heartedly recommend them for anyone considering dog training.
I can’t say enough about Adam, Mckenzie and Tess and the wonderful work they have done with my puppy Chelsea. I never thought I would have seen the day she would walk calmly next to my granddaughter in a public place. They care about your dog and your concerns which truly helped this 1st time puppy owner.

INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE!!! I brought my one year old golden retriever fur baby to do a two week board and train and i cannot rave about the fantastic experience enough. Dropping my dog off the first week was very hard but I got multiple pictures EVERY SINGLE DAY which helped so much in being without him. When i went to pick him up on Friday at the end of the first week i met his trainer McKenzie. She walked me through everything they had worked on during the week and made sure that i was ready to take him home and work on what he had learned. By the end of the second week he had improved even more! It’s going to continue to be a work in progress but McKenzie and Sit Means Sit have given me every tool I’ll need for my dog and I to be happy and successful with his training! I’ll be recommending them to absolutely everyone i know who is thinking about training their pups!!!
Oscar is our first ever dog. We realized we needed some serious help. Sit means sit was the perfect solution to train both of us as well our puppy! Adam and Mackensie were amazing. We couldn’t be happier with the knowledge and hands-on training we received. We learned so much!
They customized the training for our particular personalities, both dog and us and were so very patient. If you want the best, we recommend this one.
Victoria at SMS is the trainer that mainly worked with Justice and I. I feel that the program is a good foundation for a lifetime commitment to training with your dog. Victoria did a really good job with communicating and has good calm energy. You get out what you put in as a dog owner. Training with your dog is responsible dog ownership. The initial investment and SMS program provides daily tools for you and for the rest of your dogs life so its well worth it. Thank you Victoria and SMS!
I thought I left a review for this place but apparently not! My dog was having a very hard time adjusting after moving around, and was becoming fearful and anxious. I appreciated Adam’s candor that the dog was picking up some of that from me but I wouldn’t have the dog I have today without McKenzie’s training (and patience training me). He’s no longer fearful, and any time we’re in a new environment I practice some of the commands and training and he adjusts perfectly. Things that used to bother him previously no longer do too, added bonus. Anywhere I take him, people compliment on how well behaved and trained he is, and I tell them about Sit Means Sit. THANK YOU MCKENZIE FOR GIVING ME MY DOG BACK, AND EVEN IMPROVED!!!
I’ve had the best experience with Adam and everyone that works in the building! I get complimented all the time on how well behaved my puppy is. I’m so glad I made the decision to train with them. I have nothing but positive things to say about Sit Means Sit! You won’t regret training with them!!
I am extremely impressed with Sis Means Sit training of our dog!!! After his two weeks of training he came back to us a much better version of himself. He is more confident, well mannered, and much calmer. Victoria and McKenzie were great to work with!!! I highly recommend Sit Means Sit!
