Puppy Training in Asbury Park, NJ
Here at Sit Means Sit Training, we want to help provide a strong foundation so that your new puppy gets the best head start in life! The first 16 weeks are critical for obedience training and socialization, and that is why we want your puppy to grow up in our Puppy Management Program.
Our professional trainers will teach you how to use positive reinforcement to keep your furry friend on track to become a well-behaved and confident adult dog! Let us guide you in training your puppy to learn good behaviors early on so you can hopefully avoid any bad habits forming later on in life.
Benefits of Puppy Management:
- Our trainers will help you raise your puppy to be a happy and healthy adult dog with the help of age-appropriate obedience training so you have one less thing to worry about!
- No matter if you are dealing with a hyper puppy chewing on furniture or noticing early signs of aggression, our Puppy Management Program can help correct the behavior before it gets worse.
Dog Training Day Care
Our Day Train Program is different from the Doggy Day Care program because your dog will spend all day training and learning to behave with one of our professional dog trainers. Drop your dog off at our location once a week for a one-week, three-week, five-week, or eight-week Diamond Program, and before they go home, your dog’s trainer will go over what your dog learned and what techniques, tools, and commands were taught.
At home, you get to practice the skills your dog spends the day working on with their trainers. Many dogs are more successful with a Day Train Program over a board and train system because you and your dog generalize the information bit by bit. At the end of your dog’s Day Train Program, your pup’s trainer will have a private one-on-one with you. If you have any concerns or are unhappy, we will offer free sessions until your dog’s behavior meets our standards.
Want more training options? Dogs who have completed our Day Train program are invited to join our Group Lessons, where you can put your dog’s new skills into action in real-world situations. Or your dog can expand their doggy education by learning tricks, agility, or service-type behaviors with more Day Train sessions!
This is the perfect option for:
- Working pet parents in the New Jersey or Monmouth County area
- Owners who want their dogs home at night
- The dog that loves getting a full day of training
(*Behavioral training may be covered under some pet insurance policies. Check with your provider!)
Dog Boarding & Training

Consider leaving them with us at our Board & Train Program. Your furry companion will be trained all day and spend overnight under the excellent care of our trainers!
Your lucky pup will get the full attention of a dedicated team of expert trainers who will create a solid foundation of obedience training to help problem-solve any behavioral issues. For up to 12 days, we will do the heavy training lifting for you! When you come home and pick up your dog, you will have a private lesson where we will pass off your dog’s new skills so you can practice them at home.
Our Board & Train Program is especially great if you have a vacation coming up. Why not have them trained while you are gone? Please make your reservations as soon as possible! We cannot wait to host your dog while you are away.

Dog Trainers & Staff
Professional trainers. Attentive friendly staff.
With over 20 years of dog training experience, I have had the pleasure of working and training with some of the top dog trainers and dog handlers both nationally and internationally.
Some of my recent accomplishments include providing Sport Dog and Protection Dog seminars, Obedience Classes, general dog in-services and training for specialized protection dog groups. I also am a Dog Sport Club Training Director and Instructor.
In addition to providing education and training services, I continue to attend countless training seminars and continuing education hours to include some of the most recent and up to date training techniques in the pet/dog industry. I also have my Dog First Aid/CPR certification, updated yearly.
My passion for training dogs has taken me to multiple Sport Dog competitions from AKC Obedience to Protection Sport Association (PSA). In the last few years with my dog ‘Rocky”, we have accomplished some of the highest levels of recognition in the Dog Sport world. Achieving multiple Regional and National Championships. This included 2015 PSA Level3 USA National Champion, 2016 PSA Level3 USA Highest scoring team of the year, 2017 PSA Level3 USA Regional Champion, 2017 PSA Level3 USA National Champion, 2018 PSA Level3 USA Regional Champion, 2019 PSA Level3 Canadian National Champion.
Throughout all my years of training I have learned the greatest enjoyment for me is being able to help and give others the ability to communicate with their dogs, creating a long lasting relationship. I truly feel blessed to be able to give back to the community by showcasing Sit Means Sit training as a smarter, faster and more reliable form of training to all.
While training dogs is my passion, I also have 6 dogs in my own”pack” at home including 4 Malinois, 1 German Shepherd, and the boss of the house, our rescue dog “Star”.
