Puppy Training in Ocean County, NJ
Our Puppy Management program is one of our most popular services, teaching your dog a strong foundation of obedience and socialization in the first 16 weeks of their life. These first 16 weeks of life are crucial for behavioral programming – and if you want to house-train your pup, be confident enough to let them off the leash in almost any situation and ensure they’re well-behaved in all situations, it’s vital you work with a dog trainer early on to cement techniques, ensure a well-behaved future, and prevent bad habits from forming later in life.
Benefits of Puppy Management:
- With a recently adopted puppy, you’ll have one less thing to worry about because you’ll know that through obedience training, they’re on the path to a happy and healthy lifestyle.
- If you’re already starting to notice troubling signs of aggression and disobedience, puppy training can help correct that behavior before it gets out of hand.
Day Care Training
Our “Day Care Training” program is our version of doggy daycare, where you drop your pup off to us in the morning and collect them after a productive day of training! At the end of each day, one of our expert trainers will show you exactly what your pup’s learned and how it will benefit its life, give you practical tips to use yourself, and ensure you have a thorough understanding of what behavior we’re aiming to instill into your pet.
Once you complete a program, you’ll be able to access our group training classes, which are held twice weekly.
This is the perfect option for:
- Working pet parents
- Owners who don’t want to part ways with their dog at night
- Getting in a full day’s worth of training
(*Behavioral training may be covered under some pet insurance policies. Check with your provider!)
Dog Boarding & Training in Ocean County, New Jersey

Available to dog owners in locations like Seaside Heights, Toms River, Pine Beach, and Lanoka Harbor, this intensive training program sees us working with your pup each day and night. Once you’re ready to collect your pup, we’ll show you the skills and techniques we’ve taught that will last a lifetime. We’ll even give you exercises to practice until your next session. We have 3-12 day customizable plans for this option.
Again, once your program is complete, you’ll be welcomed to join our group training classes held twice-weekly.

Dog Trainers & Staff
Professional trainers. Attentive friendly staff.
With over 20 years of dog training experience, I have had the pleasure of working and training with some of the top dog trainers and dog handlers both nationally and internationally.
Some of my recent accomplishments include providing Sport Dog and Protection Dog seminars, Obedience Classes, general dog in-services and training for specialized protection dog groups. I also am a Dog Sport Club Training Director and Instructor.
In addition to providing education and training services, I continue to attend countless training seminars and continuing education hours to include some of the most recent and up to date training techniques in the pet/dog industry. I also have my Dog First Aid/CPR certification, updated yearly.
My passion for training dogs has taken me to multiple Sport Dog competitions from AKC Obedience to Protection Sport Association (PSA). In the last few years with my dog ‘Rocky”, we have accomplished some of the highest levels of recognition in the Dog Sport world. Achieving multiple Regional and National Championships. This included 2015 PSA Level3 USA National Champion, 2016 PSA Level3 USA Highest scoring team of the year, 2017 PSA Level3 USA Regional Champion, 2017 PSA Level3 USA National Champion, 2018 PSA Level3 USA Regional Champion, 2019 PSA Level3 Canadian National Champion.
Throughout all my years of training I have learned the greatest enjoyment for me is being able to help and give others the ability to communicate with their dogs, creating a long lasting relationship. I truly feel blessed to be able to give back to the community by showcasing Sit Means Sit training as a smarter, faster and more reliable form of training to all.
While training dogs is my passion, I also have 6 dogs in my own”pack” at home including 4 Malinois, 1 German Shepherd, and the boss of the house, our rescue dog “Star”.
