National Love Your Pet Day

Did you know that February 20th is National Love Your Pet Day?
Here’s what the team loves about our pups!

Buck

A shining example of training at its best – Buck started his journey being nervous of new people and in need of a job. But when Buck came to Sit Means Sit, he found his true calling! We like to say that he’s “a working dog, not a petting dog” because Buck is a working dog through and through. Our favorite thing about Buck is that he never turns down a new challenge. Buck is a trendsetter, and he can be found around the facility doing some of the coolest tricks you’ve ever seen. We love you, Buck!

Buster

When Buster started out, he was so reactive towards dogs that his mom wondered if he’d ever be able to go out and enjoy life with her. However, with training, Buster completely turned his life around. At 12 years old, he is a retired therapy dog that continues work by providing that rare calm, reassuring energy at SMS and helping dogs become their best selves. He never deviates from his job, making him a valued addition to the crew.

Penelope

Oh sweet Penelope…what’s not to love? Penelope has a silly, easy-going nature that puts a smile on everyone’s faces. Don’t underestimate her though – when it’s time for a break, it’s game on! Penelope takes her playtime seriously, and she helps out by being a professional distraction – running, barking, and jumping to help teach dogs how to ignore high-energy dog distraction. It’s tough work, but someone’s gotta do it.

Koda

Koda is a recent addition to the team, and we are so glad to have him with us. Koda is a fast learner and he has the biggest heart of all. Although some people may be uncertain of him at first with that big blocky head, we have never doubted him! This big ol’ Rottie is nothing but a big teddy bear! We love you, Koda! (Even though you have sprayed more than a few trainers with your drool!)

Dug

Dug holds a very special place in our hearts…and the hearts of all who meet him. Dug is always up for a cuddle, loves to show you his toys and “sing” to you, and he is living proof that you really can have it all, because Dug has both the looks and the brains to make anybody fall in love!
