Sit Means Sit Transforms Aggressive Rescue Dog

lucy lacroix

I would like to start by saying thank you so much to [trainer] Erica, she has done a fantastic job with my dog Lucy and the transformation is amazing. Although we have only had Lucy back for one day after a five-day board and train, I am amazed at the transformation and how well-behaved she is.  I can now run and walk with her without a leash and her dog aggression is a thing of the past!!

After talking to and getting several other opinions from different dog training companies in the Tampa area, I am definitely happy with my decision to go with Sit Means Sit. Erica did such a fantastic job with the demonstration on the initial visit with her two dogs that we were sold almost instantly.   I am extremely happy with what Erica has done!

Kindest regards,

Obedience Training in Tampa!

Erica had a very unique way of approaching my baby Louie -Pierre. I have had many trainers in the past but Erica had a very comforting, positive way of talking to my Louie. There really is no other option but to have Erica as a dog trainer if anybody lives in the Tampa area. She is the epitome of a “dog whisperer”.  She seems to anticipate, understand and encourage my puppy to perform.  Thank you, thank you, thank you to Erica.  After one lesson, I can not believe how much discipline was learnt & absorbed. I now have a very attentive, responsive and behaved little baby. Erica is PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!

Kind regards,

Polyxeni Langas

Sit Means Sit Tampa has allowed us to give our sweet dog Lacey freedom. She is no longer confined to being an on leash dog! We have had a wonderful experience with Erica training Lacey in our home and at the park. Sit Means Sit helps Family have Control of their Wild Wolfhound Puppy

murtagh ryan

Thanks so much. Murtagh is really doing excellent and we continue to work daily on what he has learned. He is the most stubborn dog I have EVER owned, so he is definitely no Adlee or Ayloh [trainer, Erica’s dogs] yet but he is 100 times better. We enjoy him more and I am not afraid to take him out alone as I was before! Can’t thank Erica enough. We have told everyone that asks us about you and we will continue to try to send business your way. These Sit Means Sit remotes we wear around our necks have your logo and everyone asks to see him because he is so big and unfamiliar to most, then they see these remotes and they ask about it. We hope you get tons of clients and look forward to seeing you soon for help with the [boat] ramp. Thanks again!

We are very satisfied and are grateful for you and your talent!

Sit Means Sit Helps Families Enjoy their Dogs

Erica was one of the trainers for my boys in Akron…she is excellent and we miss her. It’s been over a year since my dogs started training with Sit Means Sit and I am still amazed and sometimes can’t believe they are mine! I had a yard sale today with probably 100 people coming into my yard and I received MANY compliments about what nice dogs they are and how well mannered. They are totally off-leash. I recommend Erica to anyone. CONGRATULATIONS!! You will enjoy your dogs so much after training!

Sit Means Sit Shapes Unruly Rottweiler Puppy into Mannered Adult!

Fritz-Orendi

We just finished the final training session at home with our nine-month old Rottweiler, Fritz. We are very pleased with the results of work done by Paul Pollock; Fritz, who is a typical Rotty and a very high-energy dog, was in the habit of eating every inedible object in sight. Due to the good trainers’ work, Fritz has not only learned to sit, come, sit in place, wait, lie down, heel (still needs work) and properly meet another dog (still needs lots of work), but also to stay “off” eating gravel, dead leaves, deer poop and other assorted no-nos. We highly recommend Akron’s Sit-Means-Sit Dog Training and are now looking forward to socializing him more, so we may have Fritz practice walking calmly by other dogs and not feel the need to slobber over each one of them. Thank you, Sit Means Sit!

Sit Means Sit helps Unmanageable Dog Reach Full Potential

Pearl-Doney

Paul,

The training with you was a very, very rewarding experience, not only for me but also for my dog, Pearl. I learned a lot about how my body language & attitude affects her attitude as well, and results in positive results. Prior to signing up for your classes I came really close to returning my dog to the pound I rescued her from. I had no control over her in so many areas and I was extremely frustrated, almost beyond control. I was sure there was no way to turn this situation around. BOY WAS I WRONG!

Thankfully, my daughter found you and Sit Means Sit turned me and my dog around after our first lesson. I am so thankful for your professional approach and knowledge of my dog and my situation. You were able to shape what I determined to be a hopeless case into a loving relationship with my dog. I’m sure she will progress into a faithful companion as I progress into more training.

You have taught me that not only is she a smart & strong-willed dog, but also a very trainable one. Following your advice and training expertise has proven invaluable .

Finally, having worked with customers and customer service for over 30 years as a national service manager of a large company, it is refreshing to work with someone who knows how to treat the customer. I appreciate the trouble you have taken to assist me with my (dog) dilemma. You may seldom hear it, but with your proven skills and attention to detail, the customer will serve you and Sit Means Sit well for years to come.

Once again, thank you, thank you, thank you for all you do and what you have done for me and Pearl.

-Best regards, Paul D.

Sit Means Sit Transforms Aggressive Border Collie

Blaze harris

About 2 ½ months ago my dog Blaze, a 7 year old Border Collie attacked my neighbors very gentle whippets while they were walking by our house. I had Blaze and our other dog on leash when he spotted the dogs, lunged and I dropped the leash. It was 30 seconds of pure pandemonium and stress for all dogs and humans. It was at that point I could no longer continue in the state of being extremely fearful of his reaction to other dogs.

He was probably not socialized enough as a puppy with other dogs and unfamiliar situations and he developed extremely aggressive behaviors towards other dogs, men and most strangers. At one point my vet told me that Blaze was a liability. I took him for walks on the trail when I thought no one would be there and passing another dog was quite a nightmare for all parties. Blaze had been through several different types of training but we just couldn’t seem to get him to overcome his extreme aggression towards dogs. I was never sure just how far he would go in any situation. At home with his loved ones, he was the perfect pet.

After this incident with the neighbor I immediately got on-line to look for a very aggressive training situation for him. I felt as though we were headed towards euthanasia with him and that was just unbearable. I found Sit Means Sit and filled out a form on-line and was contacted the same day. I explained our situation and Paul came out less than a week later for a demonstration. He brought Roxy and Simba and showed us how the training and collar works. Paul came into the house and was able to witness Blaze at his worst. He assured us there was help for him. He did a demonstration in our driveway with Blaze and it was extraordinary. Blaze was calm and attentive. I knew we had found the right training for him. He went to the training facility and boarded for a week. Blaze was really transformed. He was calm, attentive, and happy and most importantly was able to be around other dogs without the extreme aggression he was exhibiting before. We took him for a walk down the street and had him sit next to a dog that he is typically quite rude to and there was no reaction from him. We are very committed to his training and work with him everyday. I have complete and total trust in the trainers at Sit Means Sit and feel they have transformed Blaze as well as our household. I am really grateful we took the step to get him trained, I no longer fear for the safety of other dogs.

Sincerely,
Kathy Harris & Blaze

Successful Obedience Training for Chihuahua!

Asterid-Frech

I could not be more grateful to Erica for her excellent work with Asterid. In only four weeks, she is a completely new dog. She actually looks at me when I want her attention, and she already hardly needs the collar to heel on our walks. The barking will take just a little longer — it is in her nature, I think, as a chihuahua — but I know that we will get there.

I was hesitant to use a collar on such a little dog, but it has worked wonders for us and Asterid never minds wearing it. She is a calmer and happier dog and I am so glad we used Sit Means Sit and got to work with Erica.

Sit Means Sit Helps Cattle Dog go from Fearful to Balanced Family Pet!

Diesel Jones

Diesel is now 6 weeks out from his 15-day program to deal with extreme fear aggression.  Prior to the enrollment, he would demonstrate troubling activities including submissive urination, hiding in his crate, barking at and charging people, and eating poop to name a few.  He also did not take well to me being the Alpha male to him in the household.

While he still has a few challenges that we are working on due to his herding nature (such as barking at all dogs and a general desire to “own his turf”), he is a completely transformed dog.

Erica had indicated that this ACD drive was extremely keen and in group settings we noted the desire to “round” the group up and let them know he is in charge.  However, in the past where we had zero control over him – the program has created a new level of control over him and a level of response and discipline that we expect and can manage.

While I freely admit that the training on my dog is ongoing and will be (as is instilled in his nature), I sincerely appreciate all the training and effort that the Sit means Sit has made to make my dog a pleasure to be around.  I finally have a dog that I am proud to call my “good boy” and one who is right by my side to be my best “fur” friend.

Rottie, Rasputin, now bonding with Mom thanks to Sit Means Sit!

rasputen stinson

Erica from Sit Means Sit did an outstanding job helping me gain confidence with Rasputin. He was my husband’s dog and minded every word Jerry said, but when he passed away suddenly I think that Rasputin wasn’t sure of his role in the house and I wasn’t sure I could control him.

Erica and the Sit Means Sit training has restored order in our house! Even though he outweighs me by 10 pounds, he almost always obeys commands. Still needs more repetitions but we are well on our way to a much better relationship!!

Sit Means Sit was WELL worth every penny and so much more!!

Thank you!!

-Nancy S.
