I brought my rescue to help get us up to speed on obedience training. Liz was fantastic!! She was not only familiar with my breed of dog, but works with and competes with a similar dog. She understands and helped us work towards our goals. I am so pleased with where we are right now and we are excited as a family to continue with Bailey’s training. THANK YOU!!!

We have really loved our training experience with Sit Means Sit. There was a noticeable change after just the first session and my dog’s behavior has continued to improve.
Our Trainer, Elle, was fantastic. She listened to the specific issues we had and tailored her trained to our needs. We can’t wait to join group classes and continue seeing what a great dog our pup can be.

My experience at Sit Means Sit was great! I was a little nervous in the beginning because it was new to me and my dog, but when I sat down for the initial consultation, Daniel made me feel very comfortable and explained the program in detail, and how everything was going to work. We were able to choose a good program for my dog. Everything that he explained about the program we selected was exactly what happened. On my dog’s first day there, I was a very nervous parent but I was reassured when I was sent a report card of her day – it made me excited and feel a lot better! My dog really bonded with her trainer, Elle. She was a very good trainer, and detail-oriented, and I was able to do everything she showed me at home! The whole staff was very inviting. I felt very comfortable and I noticed my dog (who started out insecure) also grew in confidence as the weeks progressed.

My husband and I had such an amazing experience at Sit Means Sit in Towson. We learned so much and have noticed such a change in our dog’s behavior. Daisy was always very anxious when we would take her places but since working with Elle and Carmen, my husband and I have learned how to help ease her anxiety and she is such a happier and more confident dog! We are no longer worried to take her places and we have so much gratitude for Carmen, Elle and all of the Sit Means Sit staff for their help and kindness!

I have a 3-year-old Rottweiler who suffers from leash reactivity and aggressive tendencies towards people. Before I found Sit Means Sit I struggled to walk my dog comfortably and safely, always worrying what he was going to do. After completing private lessons with Carmen and group classes with Liz I now have the tools and knowledge to go anywhere with my dog. He can now walk in public places around other dogs and people with amazing obedience skills. I am so happy with his progress and I would definitely recommend Sit Means Sit to anyone struggling with their pet!!

We had the most amazing experience training at Sit Means Sit Towson. We really thought nothing would be able to help how timid and afraid our dog was, but Elle and Carmen really worked with her to get her out of her shell! It was so relieving even after her first session seeing how well she was doing and how comfortable she was with strangers and other dogs around. It felt like we had a different dog(in a good way). It was also nice being so comfortable leaving our dog there all day without us. All of the staff are SO friendly and very trusting. 10/10 recommend!

We took our 7 month old mini Goldendoodle for some obedience training and was immediately impressed with the how much she learned on the first day! We felt like most dog owners who have small dogs let them get away with a little bit more and my husband and I were guilty of it too, but when it comes to things like bolting out the front door into the street, we knew we needed help with correcting her behavior for her own safety. After the first three weeks, there was major improvement in her recall, manners and listening skills. We learned a lot as pup parents too. Our pup was trained by Claudia and Becca and they are so good at what they do! Thank you for doing such awesome work with Beemer 🙂 We look forward to the group classes!

We had an excellent experience with Sit Means Sit and our trainer Liz! My pup, Morty, left happier, more confident and a better companion after his day training sessions and I can’t wait to start group training! Would definitely reccomend Sit Means Sit for anyone looking to drastically improve their communication and partnership with their dog.

The training has exceeded my expectations. The staff was helpful and attentive and listened to my concerns and what I was hoping to accomplish with the training. I would highly recommend the training to anyone! My dog had issues with basic commands and barking at other dogs. She now comes when I call her and she is a joy to take on hikes!

Our 1 year chocolate lab, Koda was quite the embarrassment before finding Sit Means Sit. Carmen, Becca and Liz transformed our beloved dog into the well mannered dog we didn’t even know was possible. Just after day 1 of the program, he was completely focused on us and didn’t cause a scene when we saw other dogs. After the 2nd session, our 45 lb daughter was able to walk all 77 lbs of Koda without him pulling her across the field or getting distracted. The guidance and tools they gave us is invaluable. We could call, text or email them at anytime and someone on the team would respond and answer your questions. They really care and it shows. We HIGHLY recommend Sit Means Sit!! Now if they can help with kids and husbands, they would be a full service trainer. 😉

We brought our very people and reactive dog, Koda, to Sit Means Sit and they did a fantastic job going at his pace and were very understanding of our concerns. Koda has shown huge improvements in the month we have been working with them, we definitely recommend this team!

What an amazing group of folks to have the pleasure of meeting and have your fur babies trusted with. Everyone is so friendly and makes you feel right at home and comfy especially if you are feeling awakard about doing your homework correctly. They will not allow you to fail. They have sooo many resources to make you feel at ease with your personal training success with your baby. I’m glad I accidentally stumped upon these folks searching for doggie bootcamps. Best Google search I ever made!

This is a terrific organization. The staff is exceptional; friendly; encouraging, and knowledgeable. The training is truly spectacular. We have a small puppy with excess energy and a desire to go her own way. With three weeks of individual training, she sits, runs, and heel on command. There is no negative reinforcement; all positive and supportive, so much so that our puppy looked forward to her training sessions. We simply can’t compliment them enough on their value; expertise; and accomplishment. Many thanks to all.

We brought our pointer mix to Sit Means Sit because she can be reactive to other dogs/people on walks. We tried other training methods and I began to feel discouraged after they did not help. The Sit Means Sit team was professional and knowledgeable in our initial meeting and made me feel confident that they could help with these issues. Chelsea was our trainer and was amazing. I was weary of trying a new training method but her patience and competency put my mind at ease. She was extremely encouraging and knowledgeable. I saw improvements with my dog after each training class. Chelsea was supportive with any questions or concerns I had. Using the tools Sit Means Sit taught me and consistently putting the work in with my dog, I continue to see improvements that I wasn’t even sure were possible before. I look forward to being able to take my dog on more adventures because of the skills we learned at Sit Means Sit. The entire team cares about your success and I will forever be grateful to them for helping me give the life to my dog that I imagined!!

We used sit means sit for our English bulldog he is one year old and I couldn’t take him out because of excessive whining and barking. Carmen worked with him and after only 3 weeks he is so much improved and making such great progress. I can’t wait to see how he does with group training. I can take him to the vet and not be stressed out. Thanks so much to sit means sit and Carmen I can get back to enjoying my dog again.

AMAZING!!!!!! The entire staff was SO dedicated and GENUINELY excited to have you and your dog be successful! I felt like I had my own personal help desk! I brought in my little six pound dog because she was a runner, escape artist, barker, puller, and just a princess and thought she could run my house. Things needed to change!!!! So far we’ve completed our full day training classes and I’ve noticed such a difference! Even our neighbors have said things to us! What a great feeling! She’s only gonna get better and truthfully I couldn’t be the dog mom I am today without having SIT MEANS SIT teach me how to take charge but also make it fun!!!! My baby girl has never been happier!!!!! And neither have we!!!!! Thank you SO MUCH!!!! A special shout out to Cory and Chelsea! You guys are the best!!!! Thanks for being so wonderful every step of the way! Seriously…You are the best! The Lephew Family (and Ellee too! )

Sit Means Sit in Towson was incredible for our boy! It only took 3 private lessons for him to understand commands without being food driven to do them. A huge shoutout to Carmen and Chelsea for getting Kylo into shape! They were both so kind and attentive to Kylo and his needs! We now have our group trainings which we are so excited about!

Experience has been, in a word, incredible! We brought our 8 month old German Shepherd puppy in and we saw results after the first session. In a matter of a few weeks, we learned a lot about what we’ve been doing right and wrong on our own. Correcting some of our behaviors has led to an even stronger relationship with our pup. Everyone we have interacted with has been kind, supportive, and excited about our pup’s progress. Through that individualized attention and coaching, we’ve picked up some great tricks to better communicate with our dog and our biggest takeaway has been to be consistent. The group classes really shine to reinforce that consistency, provide additional socialization, and training against distractions. Overall highly recommend!

Wow!! I can not say enough good things about sit means sit dog training. My 5 month old puppy, Gibbs, started three weeks ago and the difference I see in him is AMAZING. The trainers are so patient and knowledgeable but most importantly so loving towards my precious fur baby. I received mid day report cards & a picture every day of training. Cory, Chelsea, and Susannah were absolutely amazing and I can’t thank them enough for training and taking great care of my boy while he was with them. We are SUPER excited for group training!

My boyfriend and I adopted our first dog together in February and like many first time dog owners we weren’t sure where or how to start with training. After a few months of tossing around the idea and not finding anywhere I thought suitable, I found Sit Means Sit out of the blue on a google search and then realized it was practically in our backyard. We scheduled a free training demonstration and it was fantastic from there on. Our dog (Malakai) wasn’t the worst behaved dog but I can tell you with confidence that he wasn’t the best listener. All of that changed after a few sessions with Matt and Amanda. The training added needed structure to Malakai’s life and he is a very good listener now. We couldn’t give enough thanks to the Sit Means Sit and Strong Kennel employees for what they have done for us. They take their passion for dog training and turn it into miracles.

We have a very timid, anxiety ridden German Shepard. Matt and his wonderful team worked wonders for Piper as well as for us. We couldn’t be happier with how great the training helped us. Thank you all so much! I’m so glad we found your training and highly recommend!

Sit Mean Sit was amazing. My husband and I were very happy to have found this place. I signed my dog up for day training and each session was great. I received great information and help on how to get my dog to learn different commands. My dog had the opportunity to train with the owner Matt and he was a great trainer. All of the other trainers were also very kind and were always available to help. They are very knowledgable and show dedication and care towards the dogs. The puppy classes were so much fun for my dog and I. It was great to see my dog put what he had learned into action as well as have socialization time with other dogs and people. I would highly recommend this training to anyone who feels they need some help with their dog or even just to learn basic obedience.

Our 6 yr old Belgian Malinois “Saber” had developed some bad habits. On twice daily walks he would go into protective mode and go aggressive towards other dogs we encountered. He would also pull on the leash, not in a “drag you along” way, he’d just put steady pressure against the leash taking the fun out a good walk. Matt’s E collar based method of communicating is different and has proven effective after only a few lessons. The e-collar is used to communicate and not as punitive tool. He also set up situations where other protective breeds trained in close proximity. Saber learned to concentrate on us and not be distracted by other dogs. Saber no longer pulls on walks and stays in the heel position next to us. Thank you!

We had a wonderful experience. Our dog has recently completed the training and has made incredible progress. The training was well worth it. Everyone was very knowledgeable and very helpful.

The crew at Sit Means Sit were amazing to work with and showed us how our girl was progressing every day. We opted for the 10 Day board and train and we couldn’t believe the difference after such a short time. Our biggest worry when starting was the E-collar they use. However, it isn’t your standard E-collar but one that uses a Tens unit. This method just alerts the dog of your touch instead of Shock. They made us feel comfortable every inch of the way and reinforced our understanding.

This place has definitely given me hope for my dogs! I was nervous to seek outside help but they have shown me that not all dogs are created equally and thats ok. Everyone that I have come in contact with is not only welcoming but they are also super helpful. I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone whether it be basic obedience to a bit more challenging of a dog!!!

Our experience with sit means sit, has been absolutely amazing! Trust me, I had my doubts because of using other trainers in the past for our dog but they have seriously past my expectations. We have had two classes so far and I can honestly say that I have a completely different dog lol. I have a very high energy 11 month old lab and she has always given me a run for my money! After only two classes I am able to have her run in my open yard and come back when called, she stays right with me when out in our driveway and most of all not see me as a chew toy or have her go insane when I’m getting ready to leave for work. Sit means sit is very helpful and if I have a problem or questions I know I can always call! Sit means sit has been a god send for our little girl and for us as a family!! I highly recommend them if you have a furry family member that needs some structure!!

Sit Means Sit has already been a great experience for us! Matt is wonderful and the rest of the staff are friendly and knowledgeable! So far my dog has made strides toward a happier life. He is very dog and people reactive. With the tools that Matt and his team have provided, I have already seen significant improvement and am confident he will only get better! Truly amazing experience!

I can’t believe how much progress our dog has made in just 2 sessions!! Matt and the team are always incredibly supportive and amazing to work with. We are so happy we made the decision to train with Sit Means Sit to help Oakley become a happier, stronger, and even more amazing dog. I can’t wait to continue this process!

Amber M.

The entire process with Sit Means Sit was seamless from consult to pickup. The daily updates With pics were great for my daughter who missed our pup tremendously and i was stunned at the progress Haley made with just one week of training. Shes focused and listens so well now. They went above and beyond to not only train but care for her. So thrilled with the progress made!

Matt & his team of trainers were helpful every step of they way while our ten month old German Shepherd, Stella, made her way through the Sit Means Sit day training program. After just the first day of training we saw a huge improvement when Stella returned to my side when asked instead of chasing a squirrel in the backyard. Each week Stella learned new things & was socialized with dogs of all sizes. Matt was happy to answer questions & provide suggestions for issues that we were having even though they were out of scope for the training program. Stella is still working on mastering heel but has made major improvements since the start of this training program. It’s clear that Matt & his team really care.
