I went from a dog that pulled and lunged constantly on leash. That was extremely reactive to other dogs on walks to a dog that actually listens and follows my lead. It’s definitely a work in progress but we have made huge progress! I can’t thank Alden and Sit Means Sit enough for this opportunity!
I have an almost 8 month old Isabella Blue German Shepard named Phoebe. We have been using Sit Means Sit Dog Training for about 4 weeks now. By far the best decision I’ve made regarding my dog yet. In just these few weeks I’m seeing so much improvement with my puppy. Phoebe is very high strung, super energetic and even a little reactive, she’s always got to be in charge. Now she doesn’t pull me off the porch anymore, she sits when I tell her too and she was even off leash in a public area playing with another dog today! Amazing!
I would highly recommend Sit Means Sit Dog Training to ANYONE with a dog, regardless of age or breed. These trainers are great! Totally affordable and worth every cent!
This training program changed mine and my dogs life 100% for the better. My mini aussie Havanna is now able to join me for countless adventures without the stress of her getting distracted or something happening to her. I could not be more grateful for this program. We are super excited to join group classes soon. I would recommend sit means sit to anyone needing training or creating a stronger bond with your dog. Thank you for the bottom of my heart to Sit Means Sit.
We could not be more pleased that we called upon Sit Means Sit and Alden to help us with our dog. Our 1 1/2 year old dog began showing signs of aggression going so far as to bite someone. We knew immediately we had to take action. We had seen Alden on Church Street over the winter and decided to reach out. He is a delight to work with. He took the time to hear what our needs and goals were. He saw our dog for who he is and has worked patiently with our whole family (4 kids) to learn how to help our dog be successful. While we continue to need to practice, we all feel more confident allowing our dog to be off leash in our yard to just run around because we trust he will come back to us if needed. I highly recommend Sit Means Sit, Alden and his team!
Sit Means Sit Dog Training & Alden have changed Rooney’s life in just a few short training sessions. His anxiety and reactive behavior started to change after just one session! And I am learning how to help him in a way that works for him.
Alden was so easy to work with, and incredibly informative and knowledgeable about his training. Our dog made a 180° change after his work with Sit means sit. We are forever grateful for the things we’ve learned, and the continued work in group classes! Would recommend this training to everyone! Whether your dog has behavioral issues, or just doesn’t want to listen! Or something in-between.
I can’t praise Alden or this program enough! I found SMS after an incident occurred with my 7 year old dog- I remember feeling so defeated & after just one lesson, my hope was restored. An older dog can learn new things! Alden is patient, kind, and a joy to work with and learn from! The transformation that has taken place, because of this program, is something I am so grateful for! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Our second dog, Mac, has been struggling with recall, constantly barking, and being a menace around the house. Mac is an American Foxhound mix and is a little over 2 years old. We’ve tried training with other businesses, multiple different e-collars and continuously failed improving Mac’s behavior. We are a month into our journey with Sit Means Sit and WOW! It’s like we have a completely different dog! Alden is so knowledgeable and his guidance has really helped us work towards our goals with Mac. Alden comes to us at our house for training and makes scheduling convenient for us. Using the Sit Means Sit e-collar has been awesome because we no longer have to bait Mac with treats or yell at him to listen. The collar is so safe and has many levels to play around with. We feel more confident as dog owners thanks to this program. It is well worth the money and has been a great experience so far. We are so happy with our pups progress! 🤗
I had the pleasure of working with Alden who helped my two dogs become better behaved. They are great dogs, but just too friendly. They would jump on people, they wouldn’t come when called, and they would pull hard on leash walks. I really didn’t think it would be possible to get these dogs trained. However, Alden was great to work with and was able to help me understand how to properly train them, as well as make it enjoyable. By the end of our time together, I had a solid understanding of how to train them to do just about anything, and they would do all of the things I didn’t think they would ever do. They come when called, they sit, they now are much better on leash and much better behaved. One of my dogs is obsessed with balls and she would rather chase a ball than eat. But Alden eventually had her sitting and I could roll a ball by her and she would just let it roll. That’s the sort of thing I never imagined was possible.I’m thrilled with how well everything went, and my relationship with my dogs is now stronger because of it. my dogs also have a better life now too because I can let them run free knowing I can get them back when I need to. Sit Means Sit.
I can’t speak highly enough of Alden and the sit means sit method. From our first visit, he was responsive, helpful and took the time to get to know my pup and my goals. I baby my dog (don’t we all?) and knew quickly she was in very capable and compassionate hands. He trained us both well and I was amazed at the speed she made progress. My occasional problem child is now the envy of the dog park. Most importantly, her life is much richer now that I can trust her recall and let her be free to explore. Couldn’t have done it without your guidance and I’m excited to see how she continues to progress!
I’ve been working with Alden for my sweet pup’s reactivity issues, and he’s worked wonders in such a short time. We weren’t able to go on walks that we might see another dog without a lot of pulling and yelling. Not only can Twiggy walk past stranger dogs on the street now, her general obedience continues to improve more everyday. I can’t recommend him enough, he has totally changed our day to day for the better!
I highly recommend Alden and Tyler. The training has significantly helped boost my confidence as well as my dog’s confidence. Bear was extremely fearful around strangers, especially men. His reactiveness and possessiveness of anything he felt was his (me, the car, the house) was overwhelming. Working with Alden has helped Bear go from freaking out at strangers to appropriately meeting new people and dogs. Bear has much better leash manners and recall. The groups classes are an awesome way to continue training and challenging bear in a safe environment. Alden was always available for questions/support. I am so thankful for everything and excited to see his continued improvement!
Sit Means Sit absolutely changed my dog Gomez. He was extremely reactive towards other dogs and would run away off leash but now he can walk off leash and doesn’t bark at other dogs anymore. When he shows up to group class most people compliment him on being so well behaved (which I never thought I would hear about Gomez). At first I wasn’t sure about using an e collar but Alden was so informative and helpful while explaining how to use it. Gomez now gets so excited every time I put it on him. Thanks for making our lives so much better!!!
Such a great company to work with, our dog has made tremendous improvements in his behavior and overall listening. Alden is extremely knowledgeable and patient. I highly recommend Alden and the team!
