DIY Frozen Dog Treats

Making your furry friend homemade dog treats is extremely fun and allows you to do something special for them. With the weather heating up, here are some fun DIY frozen dog treats to make for your canine companion this summer!

Yogurt Peanut Butter Banana Dog Treats

What You’ll Need:

How to Make Them:

  1. Put all of the ingredients into a food processor or blender
  2. Blend until creamy
  3. Fill your silicone mold or icecube tray with the mixture
  4. Freeze for at least 2 hours
  5. Pop the treats out of the molds or tray and serve to your pup!

(Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer)

Blueberry Frozen Dog Treats

What You’ll Need:

  • 3/4 Cup Blueberries
  • 3/4 Cup Greek Yogurt (preferably low fat)
  • 1/2 Banana, Ripe
  • A food processor or blender
  • Silicone mold or ice cube tray

How to Make Them:

  1. Put all of your ingredients into a blender or food processor
  2. Blend until fully mixed, about 90 seconds
  3. Pour mixture into molds or tray
  4. Freeze until solid, about 5 hours
  5. Remove from molds or tray and serve!

(You can store leftovers for up to 3 months in the freezer)

Watermelon Carrot Pupsicles

What You’ll Need:

  • 2 Medium Sized Carrots
  • 3 Cups Watermelon
  • A food processor or blender
  • Silicone mold or ice cube tray

How to Make Them:

  1. Clean and roughly chop up carrots
  2. Cut watermelon into chunks and remove all seeds
  3. Pulse carrots in a blender until finely chopped
  4. Add watermelon and puree until smooth
  5. Pour mixture into molds or tray and freeze for at least 2 hours or until frozen solid.
  6. Remove from molds or trays, and they’re ready to serve to your furry friend!

Frozen Apple Dog Treats

What You’ll Need:

  • 2 Apples
  • 1 Cup Greek Yogurt (preferably low fat)
  • Water
  • A food processor or blender
  • Silicone mold or ice cube tray

How to Make Them:

  1. Slice 2 apples into small pieces, removing. the seeds and core
  2. Mix the apple slices, yogurt, and splash of water in a blender or food processor until it’s a liquid consistency
  3. Pour that mixture into an ice cube tray or mold and freeze for at least 2 hours or until frozen solid
  4. Remove from tray or mold and serve!

Frozen treats can sometimes be messy to eat, so we suggest feeding them to your canine outside if possible!
