As Seen Training On

We are so excited to invite our doggy graduate to join group classes! If you have completed our other training programs, such as puppy classes, board and train, or private lessons, then it is time to take the next step and join group classes!
Other trainers or dog obedience training facilities focus on moving dogs or puppy owners through their training programs or private lessons, but never provide any follow-up. As dog owners ourselves, we know that the dog training journey never really ends. There is always something new to learn, a behavior challenge to fix, or social skills to maintain. That is why our trainers are always there for our clients, even after they have finished their training programs.
That is why we have created the group training classes. Group classes give you and your pup a fun opportunity to continue your training journey, learn new training methods, and improve social skills. Since students in these classes have completed our other training services, our staff already understands your dog’s unique way of learning and can help to freshen up or learn new skills in a community of other dogs and their parents. Our goal is to help strengthen your communication and build confidence while training a well-behaved dog that will listen in every situation.
Why This is Different Than Other Training Programs
Creating a safe environment for training dogs is very important, but your dog can only succeed outside of the class setting if they start to learn the same skills around distractions. Your dog might be perfect at home, but they need training for real-world situations, like a cat running in front of them or not walking nicely on the leash if there are new dogs around.
We understand that your dog needs exposure to perfect their manners outside of a neutral training environment. While it helps to learn beginner skills with few distractions, we try to slowly introduce your dog to new surroundings to help build their confidence and improve their behavior. Group sessions are the perfect opportunity for your dog to learn how to act safely, with personalized attention, and training support.
Our professional dog trainers know how important it is to be able to get your dog’s attention in any real-life scenario and not only in your house. The group classes’ curriculum practices these skills by introducing new dogs, animals, and strangers in a safe environment. Your dog learns to keep their focus on you instead of being distracted. Besides obedience training and improving your relationship with your dog, one of the goals of group training classes is to have perfect manners at all times. Your dog will be well-mannered, both on-leash and off-leash, whether at your favorite dog park or the grooming salon!
Our staff maintains conditions that are not only safe but that promote natural social skills and learning. This is a great opportunity for dog owners to move forward with their training and take control of their dogs, fostering a bond based on trust and confidence. It is not uncommon for clients to tell us how improved their relationship with their furry best friend is only after the first week of training.
By building on your dog’s obedience training foundation and learning new tricks, you will convey commands more easily to your pet, and they will learn to listen better. During the training process, your dog will become more focused on you rather than discover new distractions, meaning you can trust them to have more freedom. We also go back and polish up old behavior issues that might pop up. For example, problem-solving a bad jumping habit. Our client’s dogs already have a strong obedience foundation, so it is usually easy to change these lingering habits and take the stress out of training. Every Sit Means Sit trainer approaches all of our training programs with patience and lots of your dog’s favorite food and treats!
New To Sit Means Sit
Group courses are only available to established students and graduates of our training programs. We offer a variety of classes to prospective clients, including new puppy classes, private lessons, and board and train programs. Once your pet has successfully mastered their basic obedience training, they can start perfecting their skills in group classes with other dogs. Group training classes allow your family and dog to grow, learning from each other. Many times, group classes are often the favorite part of our clients’ training journey.
Our professional dog training staff has the expertise to work with all dog breeds and behavior issues. Whether you have a brand new puppy from a breeder, a rescue suffering from separation anxiety, or an adult dog with aggression, we can offer personalized attention to help your dog succeed. We teach and work with any dog, regardless of their age, breed, background, or behavior challenges.
Dog owners interested in higher levels of training, like advanced obedience training, dog sports, or therapy dogs training will be excited to learn that we are accredited by the American Kennel Club to assess for the Canine Good Citizen Award. This is the first step towards service or therapy dogs accreditation, as well as the opportunity to earn titles on your pup.
