DIY Dog Biscuits

Apple Cinnamon Treats

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of dry, instant oatmeal
  • ½ cup of cinnamon apple sauce
  • 1 large egg

How To:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F
  2. Mix together the apple sauce and oatmeal then add in the egg and combine until mixed thoroughly
  3. Grease a cooking pan or bakeable mold
  4. Spoon the mixture onto the pan or into the molds
  5. Bake for around 22 minutes or until firm
  6. Serve once cooled and place in fridge or freezer for prolonged storage

Cranberry Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 and ½ cups of almond flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp of coconut oil
  • 3-4 tbsp of coconut flour
  • ½ cup of dried cranberries

How To:

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F
  2. Beat the eggs together in a bowl and set aside
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the almond flour, coconut oil, and dried cranberries
  4. Stir in the eggs into the rest of the mixed ingredients, add in the coconut flour a small amount at a time until all ingredients are combined (can be rolled into a ball)
  5. Roll out the dough until about a ½-1 inch thick
  6. Cut out shapes with a cookie cutter or spoon (if not rolling the dough) and place them onto a greased pan
  7. Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until firm
  8. Serve once cooled and place in fridge or freezer for prolonged storage

Peanut Butter and Pumpkin

Ingredients:

  • 2 and ½ cups of whole wheat flour
  • 2 eggs
  • ⅓ canned pure pumpkin
  • 2 tbsps of dog-friendly peanut butter
  • ½ tsp of salt
  • ½ tsp of cinnamon

How To:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F
  2. Combine all ingredients into a bowl and mix until firm and stiff dough (you may need to add a little bit of water at a time if the dough gets too dry)
  3. Roll out the dough until about a ½ inch thick
  4. Cut out shapes with a cookie cutter or knife and place them onto a greased pan
  5. Cook for 40 minutes or until firm
  6. Serve once cooled and place in fridge or freezer for prolonged storage
