Dog Parks in Apex, NC

Hunter Street Park
Where: 1250 Ambergate Station, Apex, NC, US, 27502
When: Every day 7AM-10PM
How: (919) 249-3402
Why: Leashed or unleashed, there are places to play in this park! The well-equipped dog park section has drinking water and poo bags for the unleashed pups, along with plenty of trash receptacles, shade, and benches for the parents. And the soft sand makes for fun play in this fenced area. The remainder of the unfenced 12 acre park has miles of trails and fields for fun and a run, but keep the leash on your doggo when venturing out there.

Apex Nature Park
Where: 2600 Evans Rd, Apex, NC, US, 27502
When: Every day 6:30AM-10PM
How: (919) 249-3402
Why: With a huge 2 acre fenced area, lighted areas, wood chips to cut down on mud, gazebos and benches, a separate area for the smaller doggos, and stations for waste and water, there’s not much this dog park doesn’t have. And that’s not even mentioning the beauty of the trees, fields, and flowers. Just remember to bring your own poo bags!

Restaurants

Note – most restaurants are only allowed to have pups on their outdoor patios because of state ordinances, even if they are fully dog friendly

Johnny’s Pizza
Where: 8759 Holly Springs Rd, Apex, NC, US, 27539-9194
When:
How: (919) 362-5566
Why: Sometimes we all need a little bit of New York City, even if we live in North Carolina, and Johnny’s Pizza serves it up slice after slice. Fortunately your hungry pup is allowed to relax under your table on the patio and munch on your crusts, if you’re willing to give them up.

The Provincial
Where: 119 N Salem St, Apex, NC, US, 27502-1427
When: Tues-Sat 5PM-9PM, Sun-Mon CLOSED
How: (919) 372-5921

The super friendly staff bring bowls of water for the pups right off the bat while you can sit back with a brew and peruse the extensive menu. It may be a local favorite but I would never call it provincial.
