Austin Dog-Friendly Bars

Austin offers a wide variety of dog-friendly things to do such as bars and restaurants. Austin is even ranked 6th in the “Top 10 American Cities for Dogs”. To help you discover some of the best local bars in your neighborhood, that you can also bring Fido along to, we’ve gathered just a few of our favorites to share with you.

Batch Craft

For all you beer and kolach lovers, you need to check out Batch Craft. This family-owned business is not only a taproom but also a kolache bakery and retail craft beer shop that’s all dog-friendly! Out back you’ll discover a generous backyard with plenty of picnic seating and shade.

Butterfly Bar at the Vortex Lounge

Part of the Vortex Theatre, Butterfly Bar is cozy, cool, and inviting for both you and Fido! They offer a spacious outdoor area where you and your pup can enjoy a scenic few, as well as some italian from a food truck offered on site.

Doc B’s

Located in an outdoor mall, Doc B’s is the perfect place to stop for a nice bite to eat with your four-legged friend after window shopping all day. Offering American style cuisine and happy hour 4pm-7pm, you can’t go wrong dining on their massive patio.

Ski Shores

Ski Shores is a unique and beautiful venue that is placed right next to a gorgeous lake. On top of being a lakeside restaurant and bar, Ski Shores offers a fully stocked game room, beachfront areas, a playground, as well as a dog-friendly outdoor space! Every weekend you can also expect to hear some live music. So bring your pup out for a fun-filled day outside.

Yard Bar

Your dog is going to flip when you take them to Yard Bar, a dog park/restaurant/bar. While offering a variety of food and drink for you, they also provide sliders and ice cream for your furry friend. To enter all you have to do is pay a $5 dog cover and make sure you have proof of their rabies vaccinations, after that your pup is free to roam and play with “Bark Rangers” on staff to keep an eye on them.

We hope you and your pup have an overload of tail-wagging fun checking out these dog-friendly bars. Because there’s nothing, your canine companion likes more than spending time with you.
