Keeping Dogs and People Safe with Dis-In-Fx

Here at Sit Means Sit you and your dog’s health is very important to us. We have always used pet safe and effective cleaning and disinfecting products. However, we wanted to make things even safer so we partnered with Dis-In-Fx and their Germ-Safe program. The good news is they pre-test the facility and we, “had some of the lowest microbial readings he has seen pre-treatment”. So we were already super clean and keeping your pets safe!

What is a Germ-Safe Facility?

According to the Dis-In-Fx website:

A Germ-Safe™ facility is one that has enrolled in the DisInFx Antimicrobial program.  The program consists of:

• • Treatment with Fog-Applied Disinfectants with a Residual Antimicrobial Coating
  • Testing with ATP swab tests monthly- guaranteed to be  Germ-Safe™
  • Certified with framed DisInFx Certificate, Door and Mirror Icons and website Web-Badge

Germ-Safe™ indicates that the likelihood for infections or microbial cross-contamination in a Germ-Safe™ facility are low. Ongoing testing ensures the highest levels of safety and cleanliness.  Any areas testing outside of  Germ-Safe™ levels are immediately disinfected.

Besides our standard daily and weekly cleaning, our training facility and vehicles are treated at least quarterly.

Treatment

DisInFx through years of research and development has developed a proven program  that is guaranteed to reduce and/or eliminate the microbial threat on surfaces.

The Treatment is administered through a Fog-Application process. In this process a combination of EPA registered, Hospital Grade Disinfectants are utilized in conjunction with a Residual Antimicrobial Coating.  An immediate or ‘wet kill’ is achieved leaving behind a ‘dry kill’ Residual Antimicrobial that World Health Organization approved laboratories confirm the residual technology in the Antimicrobial used by DisInFx has been proven to reduce the growth of microbial populations by up to 99.99% and continues to inhibit their return for months!

As part of the Germ-Safe™ program all high touch points like door handles, light switches and toilet seats are coated with the Antimicrobial Coating.  These areas are at high risk of cross-contamination and difficult to keep clean even with the best infection prevention plans.

All of the Disinfectant and Antimicrobial products used by DisInFx are EPA registered, water based and non-toxic once dry.
