Our training programs are broken down into two phases. Most (and our best) clients do both so they can ensure lasting obedience.
Phase 1 is foundations, where we work on our core commands and help you introduce them to your lifestyle. We offer them in the form of dog day camp training, or private lessons.
Phase 2 in our training is reinforcement and refinement, where we work with you to integrate habits and skills in fast-paced, distracting environments. We offer this phase as part of our group classes

Core Training Programs
If you have a puppy with endless energy, feel like your dog walks you instead of the other way around or want to visit off-leash dog parks, Sit Means Sit Austin is here to help. We offer various dog obedience classes around Austin, Texas, and the surrounding area.
This phase of training is open to all new and returning customers. It is the way to get started in training with us.
Day Camp Training
Drop your pet off at our Doggie Day Camp when you go to work or run errands. Our trainers will help your dog grasp basic training commands by working with them once a week for four or six weeks. After our all-day learning sessions, we’ll give you an overview of what your dog learned and provide homework to continue training at home.
Private Lessons
Have us teach you the skills you need to succeed at home. In a series of 3, 4, or 7 lessons, we will equip you will the knowledge you need to solve specific problems and build a strong relationship with your pup. This is a great option for the curious person or family or for those with something very specific in mind.
Invest in private training lessons to build trust and confidence with your dog. Our experienced instructors will meet you at a place that’s comfortable for your dog, whether that’s our training center, a park or your home. Depending on your learning needs and preferences, we can customize plans for a couple of sessions or a few months.

Reinforcement and Refinement
This phase of training is open to all clients who have completed some level of foundational training.
Group Classes
Continue your dog’s learning journey. After completing our private training or day camp, you can attend our group dog training classes. We offer a few types of lessons to help refine and reinforce all the skills your dog has learned in foundational programs — transitional, Feisty Fido, and advanced.
In these trainer-led group sessions, you will work on core commands at a fast pace around medium to high distractions. Group classes help with integrating all the training so that you can safely take your dog anywhere! We’ll be indoors with 10 dogs, and outdoors with up to 25.
Training Memberships
For our most dedicated clients, training memberships are a great way to make training a habit, while saving money! We offer unlimited group classes, 10% off ALL services and products, and access to community events.
Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Testing
Offered through the American Kennel Club, Canine Good Citizen CGC testing is a great way to certify your dog as a good dog by the most recognized source in the country. We offer these tests quarterly and include free practice classes in advance.
Puppy Training Programs
Puppy Kindergarten
Puppy Kindergarten is a fun program designed to get dog owners and their puppies off on the right paw. Over 4 weeks, we will be focused on the fundamentals of owning and training a puppy. We start twice a month and limit classes to 6 pups.
Puppy Obedience Lesson
For the new puppy owner, our puppy obedience lesson is a private session where we educate and train you on the best way to house break, crate train, and start building obedience with your new best friend. You can contact us to learn more.
