As Seen Training On

Group dog training classes are the next step in the training process and are offered to canine graduates of our other programs, such as a Board and Train Program, private lessons, or a puppy class. These programs offer dogs a unique training experience wherein they can work amongst fellow well-behaved furry friends, gain invaluable socialization time, and learn together. We offer a variety of class times so we can accommodate your busy schedule both day and night.
In order to take part in these classes, your dog will need to have a strong foundation in basic obedience and will need to learn essential commands first. Our trainers aim to make these classes fun, engaging, and educational for dogs and humans alike. These classes are not ideal for dogs with severe behavioral issues or aggression and will likely cause them undue stress. If you are unsure if your pup is ready to take part in a group class or have questions about your dog’s behavior, we recommend you contact us to set up a free consultation first.
Why Our Dog Training Programs Are Different
While training in a doctored environment bereft of distractions may be easier, once you step foot and paw outside of our doors, that will simply not be the case. The world is happening all around us. Our dog training programs work to create real-world environments and scenarios to ensure both dog and owner are equipped with the tools they need for success, no matter where they are or where life takes them. Our trainers want to be sure that your dog has the ability to function successfully in situations where they may encounter other animals, humans, and distractions of all kinds.
The goal behind our dog training programs is to provide confidence and assurance that your dog has the fundamental training to function appropriately in a variety of environments while maintaining their cool with their behavior in check, thus avoiding bad behavior. Our trainers are here to provide guidance every step of the way and understand that consistency is key. You will learn invaluable lessons such as maintaining control with recall in an off-leash environment, managing situations where your dog will encounter other pets and/or people, and more. We understand that new situations can cause worry and anxiety, but rest assured, we’re here to help. Our helpful trainers work collaboratively with dogs and their owners as a team to help foster a lifelong relationship that is rewarding for pups and their pup parents. Once you leave our facility at the end of your training sessions, we are always here to provide ongoing support where and when you need it.
By learning tricks, you and your dog can improve your communication and build confidence. By working in a group, you and your dog can practice focus, which can aid in busy public settings where there is a lot going on around you. We believe not only in education, but in reinforcement and continued practice. Group classes offer the opportunity to learn new things and revisit things you’ve already trained on together in the past. Our experienced trainers come equipped to each class with knowledge, compassion, motivation, and, of course, tons of treats! Sorry, humans will need to bring their own food!
We Always Welcome New Clients!
Group classes are only offered to Sit Means Sit clients who have completed one of our other classes. This requirement allows us to provide an environment where your dog will be amongst dogs of other training and skill levels. The training in these classes builds upon foundational training your dog has already received, it all links together. You can learn together, unhindered, and make new friends in the process. Many of our clients state that this is their favorite part of the training process.
We welcome dogs of all breeds, ages, sizes, and backgrounds. Our team understands that training does not have a one-size-fits-all approach and that each dog will learn differently. Whether you’re raising a young puppy, want to brush up on obedience skills, or work one-on-one with a trainer for certain behavior concerns (separation anxiety, aggression, biting, etc.), our team is ready and willing to provide support and training services.
If you have an interest in Canine Good Citizen certification, contact us! We are proudly associated with the American Kennel Club and are well-equipped to provide the necessary training and evaluation.
